Nice hotel, quiet areaPosted Oct 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very nice hotel, nice rooms, good sauna area, decent restaurant. Heimstetten is a village, so perfect if you want a quite place to stay, but not if you are one of those youngsters who like to go clubbing. That said there is a shopping centre opposite the hotel with a few restaurants (a couple of Italians, a Greek and a Chinese).

Booked this hotel as it was the cheaper than staying in Munich during Octoberfest. The hotel and staff were very pleasant, seems to be more geared to visitors for the convention centre. It was a 15-20 walk to train and then a 20 minute ride on the train to Munich central. For the price savings it was well worth staying here.

Not close, but great stayPosted Oct 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel and room were very clean. Nice bathroom w/ full size tube and shower. Wasn't close to the city, but the train ride isn't too long. There are a few bakeries right near the hotel, as well as a pharmacy and grocery store. The staff is incredibly helpful. Dont get the breakfast; at 14 Euro/person/day, it is worthwhile to go elsewhere.

Nice hotel, takes 30 min to get downtown.Posted Oct 7, 2013
Pros: Cheep, with nice room and staff.
Cons: Have a better local map on your website to make it easier for foreigners.
Location: Not to much. Small quiet town. Restaurant by the train station was wonderful.
Hotel was great. Only problem I had was the walk from the train was enough to kill the wheels on my suitcase. Sidewalks tend to have a lot of tiles and small stones.

Bavarian GemutlichkeitPosted Oct 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
Heimstetten is a great little town, and the Rater Park is an excellent place to stay if you are headed to Munich but don't have to stay in the city. The staff is friendly and exceptionally helpful. The hotel is an eight-minute walk (with luggage) from the rail station, with shops and bakeries along the way. The hotel restaurant serves up a fine schnitzel, by the way.

Pros: liked the market across the street
Cons: Include breakfast
Location: nothing much, a park, very quiet
Breakfast not included and very pricey. Somewhat noisy (from street below.) Just okay.

Staff very helpful at front desk but noisy in alleys every morning with service carts and knocked on our doors for housekeeping every day at 8am. Otherwise a great stay. Close enough to do shopping downtown and Oktoberfest, just expect a half hour metro ride.

Only improvement would be if tea and coffee making facilities were available in rooms
