Excellent hotel- great location.Posted Jul 24, 2014
Pros: Excellent breakfast, clean facilities and the hotel's staff was very pleasant and helpful.
Cons: The room cleaning was the only weakness of this hotel.
Location: Excellent location next to Munich's main stations. Outside the station there is a supermarket.
Our stay in Munich was a great experience for the family and myself and staying at the Residence Inn by Marriott provided us the necessary comfort and support we needed for excellent holidays .

Reasonable roomyPosted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Roomy and close to train station which makes it convenient.
Cons: Make more reusable laundry tokens available, or switch to just plain coins system. Also even spacing of room clean (2nd daily in my case)
I stayed for 6 nights here due to work conference. I chose this hotel as it has laundry on site. I was told on check in that is is open 24 hours. However on the evening when I want to use the laundry. The staff had sold out of token to be uses on the machine ! The machines was not in use at the time. The clerk was apologic and ringing around as they did not have enough tokens to begin with. I had to wait until the night shift of clerk to come in to do my laundry which did not suit my busy time schedule. The amount of service or clean to the room was quite variable. For the first 2 days, the room were cleaned daily then none for the next 3 days and finally a clean on my last day. The reason when I asked was that rooms are not cleaned daily when you stay for long period. This is understandable as you don't really need daily clean. However in the 3 days break, I run out of shower gel and was not given new one despite until the final clean despite requesting for new shower gel. I end up just using the shampoo for shower gel as I bring my own shampoo from home on that day.

Great location & amenities; large room for EuropePosted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: Breakfast spread, location, room size
Cons: Put foam mattress toppers on the beds and invest in better pillows--all pretty awful.
Location: Very easy 3 minute walk to Ost Bahnhof station. Loved L'Angolo Italian restaurant just around the corner.
Terrific location within easy walking location of Ost Bahnhof. Loved the L'Angolo Italian restaurant just around the block and ate there many times. Beds and pillows are awfully hard but rooms are otherwise comfortable with great showers. Breakfast is fabulous. Would stay there again. Had two connecting rooms because rooms have a max of three persons and we were a family of four (two teenage sons in tow). Rooms were huge by European standards.

Hotel is located close to Ostbanhof in a nice areaPosted Apr 27, 2014
Pros: Room was spacious with a kitchenette. The breakfast was very good.
Location: The hotel is located close to Ostbanhof where you could catch the regional trains, S-bahn and U-bahn. Some nice restaurants and shops nearby.
We had enjoyed our week's stay in this hotel. It is conveniently located close to Ostbanhof where you could catch the regional trains, S-bahn and U-bahn trains. It is situated in a nice neighbourhood and we felt safe when we went out for our evening walks or when walking back to the hotel from the station. Our room was spacious, quiet and it also had a well equipped mini kitchen which was very handy when we needed to make some snacks. The bed and the sofa bed were comfortable. We had about 6 comfy pillows for our room, more than enough for a couple with 2 young children. The staff was friendly and polite. The breakfast was very good with a variety of choices. Wi-fi in our room was brilliant. We had no problems at all. There are two PCs in the lobby where guests can freely surf the internet. I used it a few times to search for train times table and tourist information. A printer was also available. We had a few cocktail drinks in the bar and an evening meal in the Max restaurant. The food was delicious but quite expensive compare to other nearby restaurants we went to.

Possibly the best place to stay in MunichPosted Apr 19, 2014
The only word to describe this place is excellent. The room was a standard size you would expect in a good Australian hotel room. It was clean and tidy. Slept 2 adults and 2 kids comfortably. There was no toaster in the room however as there is a full complimentry breakfast (which includes the big fare our American friends are accustomed too) this was no issue. The hotel also has a laundry which was of good quality and had security card access. The staff all spoke good English and were extremely helpful. The resturant, called Max, was of high quality. The servings were quite large compared to what you'd expect. The only issue I had was leaving enough room for dessert. The chocolate mousse and Apple strudel were exceptional. We left usually by 7am (having eaten from 6:30) and returned around 7:30 or 8pm. There were no issues with getting great food and service at these times. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the east train station and 10 minute ride (all day pass for family was cheap) to main station. There are grocery shops and bars etc within a 5 minute walk also. The surrounding area was clean and tidy and quite family friendly. This is a great hotel to base your Munich stay from. We will definately stay here again. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We extended our stay to 5 nights because of the service. There is plenty of parking under the hotel.
