Ocktoberfest

Posted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: Location for Oktoberfest is great
Cons: Get the staff to smile and sort out the bathrooms
Location: Hotel is in the Turkish area so be ware of groups of men standing on street corners, road out side noisy but it is in the middle of Munich so this is
Both rooms booked were small with the smallest bathrooms, it was difficult having a shave due to the positioning of the basin and small shelf for your toothbrush etc. Staff were efficient but not friendly

Good location and medium quality hotel.

Posted Sep 25, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Modernize the rooms
Location: it was a short walk from the main trainstation that can take you anywhere you need to go. It was also within walking distance of Oktoberfest.
It was an easy walk to Oktoberfest which was the reason for the stay. Internet did not work on the 4th floor but it did on the 3rd.

Mediocre hotel. near the main train station.

Posted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: Near the main train station
Cons: Appearance.
Easy to find hotel near the main train station. Unusual neighborhood. Hotel appears not to have been renovated in a while. Although it appeared clean it did not register that feeling. Definitely overrated by Expedia.

Not a very good part of town

Posted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: Breakfast which we had to pay extra very good
arrived late not our fault as plane delayed. Arrived at what we thought was hotel sign outside said Smart Stay Hotel place dirty from outside up steeps with none to clean windows curtains inside worse ripped seats dirty counters. Thank heavens the real hotel was round the corner suggest sign outside bar that we went into taken down as we nearly drove away. Room clean but small. N o tea or coffee making equipment in room free coffee downstairs but finished before we got there.

Fit the Need

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Proximity to train station & comfortable beds.
Cons: Create a secure place for bicycles.
Location: N/A
We were coming into the train station with bicycles in late evening & leaving early the next day, so needed an affordable place to sleep near the station. This hotel fit the bill. Yes it,s an older hotel in a less desirable area, bit the room was clean, the beds comfortable, and it was actually quiet at night. The staff didn't have a facility to store our bikes but eventually allowed us to keep them behind the front desk. Rooms are on the small side but again, worked fine.

Good Location

Posted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: It's easy location to Munich's Hauptbahnhof.
Cons: New carpeting and mattresses- these seemed old.
Location: Easy walk even with luggage to Munich's Hauptbahnhof. Walking to Marianplatz and the market are doable if walking is easy for you.
This hotel was reasonable in cost, a bit outdated in decor, and could have used a little more cleaning. The bathroom was nice and seemed a little newer than the rest of the room. The best part is its location to the Munich Hauptbahnhof- just 4 blocks straight ahead, and not too difficult even with bulky luggage. They have wifi in the lobby at a cost of 1 hour for 1 euro. The staff were nice and helpful and spoke English!!!

Hard to figure how to use shower. Internet on computers in lobby so slow, with outdated browser, that I couldn't fill in airline's form to print boarding passes. Reception did refund my money.

Great location for the price you're paying

Just a few minutes walk from the main train station. Easy to get to. Great location when you're budgeting or don't really want to spend money on accommodations.
