Conveniently located luxury hotel

Posted Jul 1, 2015
Pros: Location is ideal.
Arrived by train to Munich and the hotel is steps away from the Hobfanhof train station, The Uban system is right there so it is easy to get around the entire city. Very modern hotel with all the amenities. The pool is oddly shaped, but very interesting. Concierge was fabulous and very helpful with dinner requests and transport. You can walk to most all the sites in Munich from here.

Great location by the train station

Posted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: Rooms were large and full of amenities (Bar, neat shower, comfortable beds with comforters etc.)
Cons: Dark elevator area.
Location: Less than 100 yards for the train station.
The hotel was perfect to use as a base when arriving and departing Munich by train. Just a short walk. Plus the rooms are nicely appointed...very modern. The staff was considerate and accommodating. A+ rating in my book.

Lovely hotel prime location.

A lovely, surprisingly quiet hotel given it's location next to the railway station. Made the perfect base to explore Munich from. Very relaxing spa and pool, which we made the most of.

Top class hotel

Posted Jun 23, 2015
Pros: Comfort and convenient
Cons: Access walk from station
Location: Loads to do and eat
Good hotel - quiet and comfortable with good facilities. Very handy for the station and city centre amenities (although the short walk between the station and hotel passes a lot of smokers etc congregating outside the station/taxi area. Hotel could do something to improve that access.

Mixed

Posted Jun 11, 2015
Main positives: Staff - attitude and helpfulness was exemplary Spa - only tried the pool which was more set up for a 'relaxation' experience but I got some short lengths in swimming against the 'flow current'. Bar - the level of cocktail making was good. Main negatives: Room - I paid a significant premium for a junior suite but I have to say I was extremely disappointed. The room overlooked the hotel (on occassion you could hear the station anouncer). Even more noticable was that the room was incredibly dark. Also the layout of the room did not make best use of the space. Finally the furniture was badly chosen - the sofa bed was incredibly uncomfortable to sit on as well as taking up too much space. Also while I generally don't eat in a hotel room if I had wanted to have a meal in, there was no where to eat it other than on a coffee table. Location - I was reassured by the other reviews that this was not an issue but for me it definitely was. Immediately on exiting the restaurant you literally bump into a load of homeless alcoholics loitering outside the central station. It just felt like a really grim area. Next time I will stay in the Old Town area. Restaurants - most five-star hotels will have more than one restaurant. Also while the quality of the food in Delice is certainly very high but I did not like the actual menu at all.

Stunning hotel

Posted Jun 1, 2015
Pros: Hermes products, turn down details like music selection
Cons: The bed, having two beds joined together is ok, but they need to be fixed together - if you lie in the centre - you almost fell through!
Location: Very close to central station - so everything is close by with transport. Bit seedy block to the south
Lovely lobby and design, staff were always helpful. Restaurant was lovely. Breakfast seamed expensive, but was all lovely and actually felt worth it.

Old charming exterior..

Efficient check in, valet or self park.. nice smell wafting thru lobby..room not ready for over 1 hr.. but they bought us a drink at lobby bar. 'Luxury' room.. window to other side of courtyard, room smallish, lighting dark, bathroom small and poor design.. minimalist Euro future look..NOT.. connected to train station.. cobblestones impossible with 4 wheeler type suitcases. Stay where you would like.. and cab it to train station front door.. it would be easier. The Charles Hotel close and much nicer.. in my books..
