Comfortable, clean, nice staff. Wifi was useless. A bit further from the HBF than I was expecting.

A very pleasant place to stayPosted Nov 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
A very pleasant place to stay if not looking for something posh. Hotel staff extremely welcoming and helpful; excellent breakfast, well worth the 12 Euros each. Room very small but efficient as on a ship; only negative, not enough closet space for two. A bit inconvenient If traveling by car as the garage at which one receives a discount is one block over but via various one-way streets; be sure to double check which of the several garages in that block offers the discount!

MunichPosted Oct 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
We used Munich as a base to explore Bavaria so thought being close to the train station would be handy. It was, but the area was so unpleasant it ruined our impression of Munich itself. Unless you like kebabs & peep shows this is not the location for you. Once inside the hotel was fine. The room was tiny, even by European standards but well fitted out. Staff were friendly & helpful.

Decent hotel in very good location - recommended.Posted Oct 21, 2013
Pros: Location, cleanliness, suited the purpose of having a base in the City for a few days.
Cons: Hotel foyer and communal areas are a bit dated. Could do with sprucing up.
Location: 5 minute walk from Hauptbahnhoff, the main railway station and interchange for U-Bahn lines.
First time staying at the Treff Hotel and would definitely book again. It's pretty standard in terms of decor and facilities but very clean and the staff are very friendly. If you are looking for luxury accommodation then this isn't for you, but as far as a base for exploring the City goes, then it does the job just fine. You may hear that the location is the 'red light district' and whilst it's true that there are some less desirable establishments around Schillerstrasse, the hotel is only a stone's throw from the main Hauptbahnhoff station which is great for public transport. We felt very safe walking around so don't be put off. One of my main bugbears in this day and age is that you don't always get unlimited wifi use in hotels; here you get a limited amount of time free per day.

Great HotelPosted Oct 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
We booked this hotel from Oktoberfest. It was only about 2-3 blocks away. Since we only booked a few weeks out we were surprised at how nice of a hotel it was for the price. Very nice! Friendly staff, quiet location and close to Oktoberfest!

Great hotel! ...Especially during OktoberfestPosted Oct 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
My fiance, his brother and I stayed at this hotel for two nights during Oktoberfest in September 2013 and especially if you are in town for Oktoberfest, this hotel is an easy 10 minute walk from the main gate which was PERFECT! On top of the location, we found the staff to be friendly and our room was clean with nice beds, a great shower, and an extremely pleasant open air terrace. The surrounding streets felt safe and easy to navigate, despite the bars and strip clubs in the area. If you are easily offended, this may be a problem but we had no qualms - we found both our hotel staff and the other locals always friendly and helpful. Even without Oktoberfest in town, this hotel is located only a few blocks from the main train station and a few more to the city centre. Obviously, I'm sure the rates were higher than usual during Oktoberfest but we would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to other travelers!

Small room, Unhelpful conciergePosted Sep 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room was very small and the beds were not proper doubles although we had booked a double they either have two singles next to each other or a small queen size ( english version). The bed was a bit hard, but ok. The hotel staff missinformed me about disabled parking saying that you had to pay for it and renew it at 8 am daily. This was so that we would go to their recommended parking for 10 euros a day. Disabled parking is unlimited and free in Munich.

Short TripPosted Jul 16, 2013
Pros: Modern, convenient
Cons: Cleaner room
Good location as far as being accessible to the old downtown areas. You can walk to everything. Immediate area not the best but very affordable and close to the train station (two blocks) convenient. If you prefer the history and atmosphere I recommend the other side of town close to HB House or Museum/Garden district. But those require cabs or Underground on a regular basis and are not accomodating for travelers with luggage, etc. much more expensive.

Great valuePosted Jul 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
Rooms are a bit on the small side, but it is Europe after all. The immediate vicinity has some men's clubs but we felt very safe, none-the-less.
