“First time in Munich”

Expensive and out of the center but close to a subway station. Very expensive rooms compared to other Weston's. Rooms excellent snd up to Weston standatds Restaurants fairly good. Concierge was outstanding and patient. Hotel crowded with flight crews. Breakfast is mot a good value. Overall very pleasing but not a great value considering the price of the rooms.

“Enjoyed by all!!”

Our hotel was beautiful and we were given every courtsey. Extremely helpful directions given to us numerous times. The food was exceptional. Our rooms were very comfortable but warmer than we are accustomed to.

“Westin Munich”

We really enjoyed our stay at the Westin. Very convenient, located up the street from a shopping district. We were able to sample a farmer's market. Loved the vintage cars in the lobby. The concierge staff was super explaining how to take the ubahn to town and how to buy tickets. Although a little hard to find (mostly due to the changes in street names on the Mittler Ring) by car, once there we were very happy. A great place to overcome jet lag. The beds are so comfortable, I almost slept through the wake-up call.

“Excellent hotel, Very Good Value”

The surroundings of the hotel are typical German building projects of the 1960's and 70's but the hotel itself is state-of-the-art. I had a newly renovated room on the 17th floor. It was very tastefully decorated with a wonderful panoramic view covering the Olympic Park, the downtown Munich Skyline with its many church steeples as well as the Alps. The breakfast buffet was luxurious with a Bavarian touch. The only unpleasant surprise was the horrendous charge for the dial-up internet service. Note that the hotel is not in the immediate downtown area but can be reached easily with the U-Bahn. It is located a mere 4 minutes from the station "Arabellapark".

“Definitely good”

Westin Grand hotels in Germany are "very good" and "very reliable". The rooms may be a bit small, but they have great beds, great furniture and feel comfy, clean, and contemporary. Flat screen TVs and big fluffy comforters. The only issue with the Munich Westin Grand is its location. It's located outside the city center so every time you want or have to go somewhere you need transportation. There is a subway station about two blocks from the hotel which is easy to use and super clean and modern, but for someone who prefers not to use cabs and likes to walk, it's not the perfect location. The subway shuts down at midnight so after that taxis are the only mode of public transport available. Overall this hotel is a great place to stay for international travelers who have high expectations and want reliable, high quality lodging. The only drawback is the location, but to be fair, it's only about five stations away from the center, but it's definitely not walkable. This location is still much, much better than staying out near the airport which is much further from the center of the city than Arabellapark where the Westin Grand is located. The location issue is not one that impacts some of the other Westin Grands in Germany, such as the one in Berlin which is in a perfect location in the center of the city.

“Very good hotel”

This was an extremely good and convenient hotel. The staff was highly capable and friendly. The food, expensive!! but good. We went for Oktoberfest and the hotel handled the crowds very well. Plus the subway line is close to the hotel so there is easy access to the airport and to central Munich.

“Beautiful hotel with friendly staff, comfortable beds and outstanding breakfast.”

I recently stayed in this hotel with my daughter. The service was excellent. The hotel staff members were very friendly, particularly in the restaraunt downstairs. The breakfast buffet is outstanding. After a day or two one gentleman on the staff began to automatically bring coffee for me and hot chocolate for my daughter without my asking. He also brought her some Easter candy to go along with the delicious omelettes prepared to order by a delightful lady. Needless to say, I enjoyed the immense layout of breakfast items. We had equally good service at the pool/spa area. The room was very nice and quite clean. The beds were very comfortable. The location is convenient to the u-bahn and bus station, which is within easy walking distance. I would certainly stay here again.
