The staff is friendly and try to get to you as soon as possible. Very nice sea view with direct access. The A/C was broken almost all the time, unacceptable for a 4 stars hotel in a beach. Also, the system to pay drinks at the restaurant and then the food at the reception each time is jusrlt ridiculous.

Hotel perched on rocks. Views off terrace on 3rd floor room were amazing. Slept with doors open all night to listen to the waves. Pool overlooks the south side of the ocean. Large, good pool chairs there as well as on the grass area. Pool bar - bartender was excellent& friendly. 1/2 board booked for stay. couldn't change. Breakfast buffet was good, dinner buffet was ho hum, but only did that 1st/3 nights. Great location @3km mark. walked south on beach to lighthouse. room comfy. 2 twin beds put together = king. that's how you had to book room. otherwise have double. We're 6'5 & 5"10. would stay here again. walk to bay side is 7 minutes directly west. Sunset bar there. gorgeous sun set!!! USA rank would be 3.5 stars, only because of age of hotel,but everything in hotel was spotless . housekeeping outstanding as well as front desk staff. Were there sept 19-22. (off season)

Great Hotel
The hotel was spotless and there were many hand gel units located all over the hotel and it's grounds. Check in was very efficient and courteous and our room was superb overlooking the Med. We had breakfast and dinner and the food choice was good and all the restaurant staff were very helpful and efficient as it is no longer self service. You choose and staff serve you. Bar service was very good and drinks were very reasonably priced. The hotel is in a great location by the beach and also close enough to the main road if you want to wander!

Room was advertised as cartegena but was located in La Manga, over 20 minutes on freeway. Checked in after 2pm (room check in is noon). Upon entry to room, it was filthy-dirty floors, trash from previous occupant, completely unserviceable. Had to be moved to another room.

Short early summer break
Enjoyable stay for 4 days. Very nice clean hotel with very friendly helpful staff. Lots of space to relax in front of the hotel and enjoy the view and sun. Good selection of food in buffet restaurant. Only criticism was the hot food was often only warm (not hot enough) and went cold whilst eating. Local area had a few restaurants and bars and was very Spanish which we liked.

Excellent service from every member of staff we came into contact with. Great food in restaurant . Only disappointment was the day we were there the spa was closed ... One of the reasons I booked the hotel was the need for a massage as we were on a long bike trip !

What a shame a lovely hotel in a great location, the restuarant seven excellent food lovely atmosphere and huge variety, the staff to very pleasant. The beach front terrace and sun beds a lovely place to relax And easy access to the beach via a private gate from the pool area shower on the doorstep great But the rooms the first room I was given was stinking of mould and mildew, the smell was overwhelming even after opening the window to ventilate, opening a wardrobe found it was absolutely rank. Was given another room, in comparison much better But still had smells of mould and signs of damp Only stayed one night and still waiting for a refund from the very rude customer service

Fantastic location
What a location right on the beach with very clean water. We had full borad which was excellent due to its location.I would recommend this hotel to anyone was perfect. We met a British guy who had been coming back for 13 years.

Our stay was great. The hotel, situated, with the sea on both sides was fabulous. Excellent food, good entertainment. The reception noticed it was my birthday and I was treated to a complimentary bottle of cava. Lovely touch. Will definitely revisit.

We stayed at the hotel for 10 days. Overall the hotel is very nice, clean and in a great location. The views are amazing and the beach too. They have a very outdated system with the beach towels. You have to leave a deposit (10 euros) per towel and they would give you your money back once you returne them. However, if you don't have the ticket they won't be able to refund you. We had a 20 min discussion with them to get our money back

Stayed 4 nights for a short break. Just what the doctor ordered with a large room and amazing sea views. Food was plentiful and there was a good choice. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend to others.

Booked this hotel as had been to a servigroup hotel before which we found excellent. However we were a little dissapointed with the standard of the Galua. Although the location was superb, having direct access to the beach, the hotel itself had its flaws. Our room had a number of issues all of which were reported to reception but non of which were addressed during our stay; these were the shower screen did not have a rubber seal along the bottom so whenever we showered, the floor was awash and we had to use our towels to soak it up, their answer was to give us more bath mats. The Aircon only worked if the temperature was lowered to 10c the thermostat did not work so it was either ON or OFF. There was a bulb missing in one of the light fittings and the chest of drawers top drawer would not stay closed, had to wedge with a card. The food was mainly leaning towards seafood and a bit boring, similar menus every day with just slight adjustments. My wife is allergic to garlic, the staff were very helpful directing her what she could/could not eat, but because of the lack of choice she was very limited to what was available to her. Because all the plates are stored under shelves on the buffet/grill area they were always cold and the food was not hot, in fact most times it was barely warm when you put it on your plate. With hindsight we would not choose to go half board again so that we could find better places to eat at night. The hotel room needs refurbishing.

A great place to stay after a long flight (23.5hrs). Just relax and worry not. Usually a hotel buffet is ok... but at this buffet we found at least one item that was memorable.

Lovely Spanish hotel
Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. This hotel is in the best location ever for the beach and snorkelling. The food was great considering the amount of people to cater for with a good choice. If your looking for a British style holiday in Spain then this is not for you. It is very much a Spanish hotel with lots of locals whom frequent this hotel. The Spanish quests staying made it very clear they do not want any English to stay here.

hotel is extremely dated and in need of a complete renovation. The staff are fantastic - friendly and ready to help in any way. The restaurant lacked atmosphere but the staff were lovely and always ready to greet us a with a smile. The food exceeded our expectations. We could have eaten out but actually we enjoyed the food so much we decided to eat at the hotel!!

Fantastic beach location and views
We didn't do our research properly and thought we were booking in Cartagena as that was our search request on Hotels.com - instead it was 30kms away, lesson learnt. The hotel is in a fantastic beachfront location at the end of a small peninsular. The female reception member at check-in didn't seem particularly interested and it was an effort to get out of her chair and attend to us. We booked a double room and were given a room with two single beds so rang reception to inquire regarding availability of rooms with double beds. We were told there was one available and to come back to reception again and the change was made. This entailed dragging luggage from one end of the hotel to the other. The room we eventually received was large and comfortable with a good view down the beach, although walls are thin. There is parking onsite for a fee. There is a bar in the hotel with good views of the beach. This hotel caters for bus loads of, mostly elderly, British tourists which may not suit some wanting an authentic Spanish experience, especially since the restaurant buffet selection is to suit English tastes. Apart from the previously mentioned receptionist at check-in all other reception, restaurant and bar staff were all very professional.

Perfect location with quick access to two seas
Spent 10 nights with wife and 3 years daughter. At first received a room without balcony, but replaced on the next day. Hotel is very popular among local Spanish citizens, so most of staff do not speak English, however that was a problem. Food is great, fresh juice, meat and fish. However drinks on fullboard are not included on lunch and dinner, you will be proposed to buy vine, water, beer or juice. Vine you can leave for the next time in the fridge. The location is perfect. Just near the hotel long sea beach with very few people in weekdays and a little more on weekend. Seaview from the room balcony is stunning. If windy or waves, in 20 minutes of walk there is another beach on the other side of LA Manga without any waves. Both beaches are ideal for kids. There is animation and night minidisco, but on Spanish.

Great location but caution regarding restaurant
Fantastic location right by the beach and pretty much over the sea. The pool, garden area and children's playground were very good. Parking right in front of the hotel was very convenient and a reasonable price, although there are limited spaces. The one issue that was a disappointment for us was the quality of the food on offer at the restaurant. We had a half-board package and breakfast and dinner were offered as a buffet. One could find some decent things to eat for breakfast but we found most of the dinner on offer either tasteless or inedible. There seem to be cafes and restaurants down the road so, if going again, I would eat elsewhere.

The hotel was the perfect choice for our short Bank Holiday trip away - great location for sunbathing or going for a walk on the beach when the wind picked up - we got a taxi to and from Murcia airport for £40 each way. We didn't venture far out of the hotel, but there are a couple of bars and restaurants in the square outside the hotel - as well as a gift-shop/corner shop where you could buy everything from toothpaste to water. The food was fairly good, although more could be made of the grills and some of the food was not very hot -fine for what we paid and for three days, but I think it might have got a bit repetitive had we stayed for a week. This may be because we were not there in 'high season'. The hotel bar is gorgeous, again with amazing views out over the green sea, and the whole hotel is immaculately clean, as is the beach. Bar staff, waiters, receptionists and cleaners were all very helpful when we asked for something, especially Juan in the restaurant. All things considered - a great holiday!

Quiet out of season break
Great break away from the British weather and a chance to recharge our batteries. All the staff were friendly and helpful from the reception to the waiters, chef and the chamber maids. Lovely location right on the beach and sea views were great, plenty of places to walk to by beach or road but because we were out of season (just how we like it) there wasn't much open bar wise. However the bar in the hotel was reasonably priced and the fridge in the room meant you could buy in your supplies. The only slight down side was we had a double room which was two twins pushed together (not great for a romantic break!) the pool wasn't open even though it was late April, and they tried to charge an extra 8 euros a day for parking. Being out of season there was plenty of on street parking so we chose not to pay. Overall a great place to stay.

Overall a very nice hotel which is located on a nice beach. Some of the staff didn't seem keen to help (maybe as I am English and all of the guests are generally Spanish), the wifi was down for an entire day but the reception lady didn't seem to care. Restaurant is buffet style, which although had a good selection, it wasn't kept hot so good idea to arrive for meals at the beginning of the allocated time. I would definitely stay at this hotel again, I went for a restful long weekend as it was ideal.

Das Hotel ist sehr schön gelegen und bietet einen tollen Blick von den Zimmerbalkonen. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und ansprechend eingerichtet. Auch der Außenbereich mit Pool, Liegebereiche und Bar macht einen guten Eindruck (die Kacheln des Pools sind allerdings etwas in die Jahre gekommen.). Eher negativ haben wir den Restaurantbereich empfunden. Die Qualität des Essens ist gut, die Gestaltung des Bereichs und die Abläufe haben aber eher Kantinenflair. Kühlschränke, Besteck-/Geschirrbuffets stehen mitten im Raum. Das Sortieren etc. des abgetragenen Geschirrs/Bestecks erfolgt im Raum und erhöht zusätzlich den Lärmpegel in dem nicht mit Schalldämmungsmaßnahmen versehenen großen Speiseraum. Insgesamt passt das nicht zur sonstigen Gestaltung des Hauses.

Das Hotel an sich ist sauber und einigermaßen komfortabel, allerdings sind die Betten sehr unbequem und laut, bei jeder Drehung knarrt und quietschte das Bett, auch die WC Tür knarrte überdurchschnittlich laut, eine reklamation an der Rezeption brachte zwar einen Haustechniker vorbei allerdings konnte der das Problem auch nicht lösen. Das Frühstücksbuffet war ziemlich enttäuschend meist war alles nur Kurzfristig vorrätig und wurde nicht oder nur sehr zögerlich nachgefüllt, die Frühstückszeit von 08:30-10:30, nicht sehr gastfreundlich. Abends wurde die Bar und Lobby mit unerträglich lauter Lifemusik überflutet, so dass eine normale, ruhige Unterhaltung überhaupt nicht möglich war, wir sind dann aufs Zimmer gegangen, welches glücklicherweise auf der anderen Seite lag und wir diesen Lärm nicht ertragen mussten. Das sogenannte Restaurant und Speisesaal hat den Charm einer Bahnhofshalle, die Stühle sind mit billigem Lederimitat bezogen, die Klimaanlagen haben einem fast Erfrierungen bereitet und es war ein Höllenlärm in dem Raum sobald dort mehr als 10 Menschen anwesend waren. Alles in allem ein nicht zu empfehlendes Haus.
