If you want to relax and be pampered this is the pPosted Nov 14, 2014
Pros: The staff are a delight and the beach and pool areas lovely.
Cons: A bit more clarity on prices and what is available in the restaurants. You also do need to book for some
Lovely 6 night stay at Al Bandar in deluxe sea view Room on third floor. Lovely view in a very comfortable, spotlessly clean room with everything you could need. The staff are delightful, the breakfast amazing, and the beach and pool area near perfect. The pool beach guys are so attentive and rush to sort out sun beds and bring cool water to you.The dinning in the evening is quite pricey but apart from our meal in the Lebanese restaurant very good. We ordered a la carte in al tandoor which was excellent as was the buffet. The Italian restaurant also lovely. Came home totally relaxed and refreshed, just what we needed and found the resort to have a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Luxury escapePosted Oct 27, 2014
Pros: Private beach. Wonderful views. Plentiful restaurants/bars.
Cons: The souk shopping area was disappointing.
Location: Drive from the airport takes you through both new Muscat and old Muscat.
Amazing stay. Stayed at the Al Husn Hotel. Superb facilities, very comfortable room with spectacular views of the pool and sea. Loved the complimentary minibar items and pool/beach coolers with waters and juices, as well as the happy hour and daily tea service. Breakfast was fantastic - abundance of choices and wonderful staff.

Good for leisure, for business. Too far from city.Posted Oct 23, 2014
Rooms are good and the food is excellent. Excellent hotel for a holiday trip or leisure, but inconvenient for business travel, as it is a considerable distance away from the main city.

A great relaxing experiencePosted Oct 20, 2014
Cons: The staff could be friendlier, they are not as nice as the other hotels we stayed in. A tour or map of the hotel would be useful.
Location: Not much to do close by however lots to explore in the three hotels.
This hotel is amazing, everything we were looking for when wanting to rest. It is quite far out so if you are staying here do not expect to see the rest of Muscat so easily. It is at least half an hour out from Central Muscat. However if you want to relax and take full advantage of the facilities then I recommend you stay here. Wonderful facilities and excellent rooms. The breakfast is just amazing, the best I have ever had.

Excellent resort, far from the maddening crowdPosted Oct 17, 2014
Location: Not much to do nearby, but still can stay in the hotel and relax
Reached the hotel well into the dark hours, a little difficult to find if you driving yourself for the first time in Muscat, which we were. But once you get to the hotel, it is a great location surrounded by mountains. Lots of interesting restaurants around and the great views of the Arabian Gulf makes it a perfect stay for long weekends.

Very nice but pricey restaurants with slow servicePosted Oct 16, 2014
Pros: Nice facilities and great location.
Cons: Food & beverage are expensive even by middle east standards, and restaurants seem to be understaffed thus the slow service but food quality was good.
Location: Spent our 3 days in the resort just relaxing and enjoying the beach and pools.
Very relaxing stay... First time there enjoyed ourselves on the beach and pools, just a lazy three days for us.

Al Husn Hotel for adults onlyPosted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: 5 star facilities and service.
Cons: Information on the website of regarding alcohol restrictions dates and times. It is not fair to impose these restrictions on visitors without warning
Great place for a short sunny luxurious getaway. Was only there for 4 nights so just relaxed in the beautiful surroundings. 2 Sandy beaches, one exclusive to the Al Husn, great infinity pool with soft loungers and chairs. Pool and beach service superb, with complimentary cooler box full of iced soft drinks and water. A variety of restaurants. Only downside was it was Eide during our stay so the bars were closed and no alcohol served in public, only in our room. We were not made aware of this until arrival.

Great hotel to relaxPosted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: Service, restaurants and General ambience is different to general area
Second visit. Short break to chill out. Hotel was busy due to Eid holidays but is large enough for you to find space
