Convenient to Shopping and Restaurants

Pros: The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was nice and had some upgrades.
Cons: The breakfast wasn't very tasty.
Location: There are many stores close by. We had dinner at Brann's Sizzling Steaks-Grille, which was very good. It's about a 15 minute drive to Lake Michigan.
The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Everything in the room (air, TV, shower, lights, etc.) worked as they should.

Only a one night stay but well worth it

I was in the area only for an evening as I attended a graduation party. The staff was very pleasant when I arrived, took the time to answer questions for my family and I about the hotel and breakfast the next morning, and they even leave sticky notes to let you know the room is freshly cleaned and by whom. It may seem a little silly, but it lets you know that they are trying their best for customer satisfaction. The bathroom was actually quite large, and the beds more comfortable than you really anticipate from a hotel. The pool was a little disappointing, as it was a little small and there were tons of kids in it o.O along with a very strong smell of chlorine, but since this was just an overnight stay, it didn't bother me overmuch. Overall, I would stay at the Hampton again the next time I'm in the Grand Haven/Norton Shores area.

Awesome hotel close to everything

The room was amazing! Room was clean and well taken care of. It would be nice to have a bigger hot tub in it - but it was relaxing after a long day at work.

Clean, convenient hotel

Hotel was clean, desk clerk was polite. Not many options to choose from in Muskegon. This is on par with the Fairfield Inn right down the street. Recommend one of these two instead of going downtown.

Nice hotel. Beds too soft

We came in for the State Bowling Tournament and it was in a great location. Close to many places to eat and shop. Room want very nice. Granite countertops in the bathroom, very nice. Only issue we had were the beds were way too soft. We did not sleep well and I had back issues for a few days. Other than that, very nice. Would stay again.

Love the remodel

The Jacuzzi drove us crazy the plug was so hard to get it to hold water and if you bumped it you might not ever get it back in. The desk person who checked us in was so nice but when we checked out and I told a different desk person about the tub she just didn't really seem to care when I told her about the Jacuzzi. This was our 4th or 5th stay we love the hotel. There was a hair in the Jacuzzi when we got there that I had to wipe out so that did not impress me.
