“Had a great stay”

Monica at the front desk was a great help. She gave directions, recommended a restaurant, and helped me reserve a sunset cruise. Every employee made eye contact and greeted us. Would recommend to anyone!

“bad experience”

As a Holiday Inn this Hotel is pretty in a bad shape! Holiday Inn should just take the name off, it doesn't respect the overall hotel chain quality!

“It was okay.”

The internet wouldnt work. I called the support line and they were unable to fix the problem. That was a huge problem for me. The toliet barely flushed in our room and the tv was awful. Had extremely poor picture. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and overal it worked but kinda expensive for no internet and poor tv.

Area recommendations

Good neighborhood for Muskegon. Had a little scare in the parking lot but hotel staff was very helpful and came out and watched us as we parked our cars to ensure safety.

“Good hotel for the price”

The hotel appears to be recently remodeled but still needs some improvement. The two queen bed room was larger than we originally thought. However, it should include a mini refridgerator. We were dissapointed in that. The pool area needs some major attention. The water is a bit cold, and the pool has no walk-in stairs for the kids. The pool is also very small for the size of the hotel. Although the breakfast is not free unless it's part of your reservation (mention that you would like free breakfast included), it was an excellent breakfast buffet for the price and all drinks were included. It was great that they offered free WI-FI. Evening carriage rides are also available in the lobby area for an additional cost. We will definately stay at this hotel again when revisiting Michigan Adventure. The hotel is conveniently close to the park.

“Disappointed”

This was not my first choice, while staying in Muskegon, however since my first choice was already booked, I chose this particular hotel. The point of convenience was a primary factor in my decision to this hotel; ideally I wanted to be relatively close to the beach (approx. 10 minutes away). Upon arrival, the hotel condition was poor in my opinion. Their literature states that it has been recently updated, yet I failed to see any of the updates during my 2-day stay. The condition of the swimming pool was also poor -- very outdated, and in much need of maintenance and up-keep. While the staff was pleasant, they appeared to be unorganized and at times, overwhelmed with the flow of hotel traffic.
