“So romantic”

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. We stayed for 5 nights in July 2005. Our room looked exactly like the picture. The grounds are immaculately kept as well as the interior. The hotel has a private section of the beach with chairs and umbrellas and so does the pool. The restaurant has a patial outdoor section, which is so romantic and the service was great. The bartender at the lobby bar was very fun and outgoing. Our only complaint was that the shuttle into the town only ran every few hours. Although, one night they ran an extra one because several guests wanted to go into town at once. Cabs are super cheap but you have to call from the hotel to get them to come and the island has a very limited number of cabs.

“paradise on earth!”

This is a fantastic hotel, very luxurious but also low key. Breakfast goes on till late (around 11), in a room overlooking the sea, the poolside restaurant and main restaurant offer amazing food. We were given an amazing room with a balcony overlooking the sea - it was heaven and felt totally private as it was like a detached bungalow. The only downside is that the beach, while only being a few minutes away, is at the bottom of a very, VERY steep hill so i wouldn't recommend it for anyone who has problems with stairs. service is excellent, rooms are clean. there is a shuttle bus going into town (30 mins away) a few times a day, but i would recommend hiring a car or moped to give you a bit of freedom during the day. but don't drive at night! lots of people driving around drunk.

“Excellent service”

The hotel is beautifully placed on top of a cliff with a favoulous view of the sea. Decorated in a summery note which at night lights up with tens of candles. The rooms are simple, yet clean. There is a safe and a mini fridge. Specifically ask for a room with a view, wonderful for breakfast. The hotel is located a good 15 minutes away from the city itself, which can be a hassle when trying to find a taxi on your way back to the hotel. Perfect for couples and families.

“Absolutely Amazing!”

This Hotel blew both me and my (new) fiancee away! The grounds and views were absolutely amazing! The staff was very pleasant and helpful! At check-in, we were personally escorted to our room and to our surprise was given a room w/ a jacuzzi and private sundeck! We were weren't even engaged yet and the only reason i didn't propose there was because Santorini has always been my fiancee's dream destination! Anyway, the pool and beach were gorgeous! The only issue we had was the hike down to the beach (Hotel is literally on a cliff), but at the end of the day it was not much of an issue! The room was well kept, changed towels twice a day and placed our slippers on side of the bed! Oh and the pool attendant was GREAT! sprayed our sunglasses w/ cleaner solution while we relaxed in the salt water jacuzzi by the pool and served us endless (free) treats!

“early morning swim ...”

being able to swim first thing at an empty beach was georgeous - even if the climb back up to the hotel was a bit like scaling K2. The hotel provided a brilliant air conditioned bus service but it was a bit of a drag being tied to going in and out of town at certain times only (late night cabs are hard to come by). Elia Beach is gorgeous and has a great taverna - hotel was lovely and staff friendly and helpful.

“You can find better but not too bad”

royal myconian is a nice hotel, not really 5 star standard. the hotel is far from town, and although you can take a shuttle bus which is about 20-30 min (not as long as it sounds), the timings are really bad. The hotel is on a hill, has a nice swimmig pool and BEAUTIFUL BEACH. however, the service is not up to standard. if i go back, i'd like to stay in a hotel nearer to town.
