Quiet just outside town

Posted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: Location and price!
Cons: No shower curtain so bathroom seemed constantly to have a wet floor!
Location: Just on outskirts of town on a hill so not great for less mobile unless a car is hired.
Great for a central based accomodation-views of Mykonos town are breath taking. Nice 30 minute stroll downhill into town, taxi only €5 back!! Lots of parking if you hire a bike or car out too!

Nice studio Above Mykonos Town.

Pros: Loved the friendliness of the the hostess. She was very helpful. I liked not being in the noisy centre. The
Cons: The kitchenette was a weird design
Location: High above the town. Good restaurants and coffee shops near by. We rented a scooter so we could get around.
Great place to stay if you want to be away from the action of town. Although not glamourous - it has a fantastic view and the Katerina is a great helpful hostess.

Inexpensive with amazing view, can walk to town.

Cons: Improve wifi coverage.
The view is phenomenal, the landlady is very helpful with transfers and very accommodating (she let us keep the room until 3.30pm and gave us a lift to the old port when departing; she allowed us to choose the room we liked as she had a couple of free rooms). The rooms were very quiet and the beds comfortable with no frills. The wifi connectivity is not great in the room but is fine outside. There is ample parking within the property. The rooms are very inexpensive for Mykonos. I personally like the location (it is a 20-25 minute walk to the town center- very steep- downhill on the way into town with the first 50 meters being on the main road though- only if you are athletic- but if you are not a problem) and with easy access to the road that takes to all the beaches.

Pros: Quiet location, undisturbed sleep, great mattress, friendly owner, great view.
Location: 15 minutes walk to the Chora, very steep uphill climb which can be challenging if not in shape- we walked to and back every night.
The rooms have a great view, are in a quiet location, are clean (beds done every day), the landlady is very nice and readily available and are close to the 'Chora' (Mykonos town)- specifically a 15 minute walk although it is very steep on the way back and if you are out of shape it will be challenging. It has a very good view overlooking the Aegean and the Chora- I enjoyed reading sitting at the small area just at the front. The beds are extremely comfortable although as is common in Greece they are 2 single beds pushed together. I cherished that I could sleep until 2pm undisturbed. There were no amenities, no swimming pool and no food served- but there are some amazing beaches within 10 minutes driving beaches (and a couple of good beaches within 25-30 minutes walking distance). There are many restaurants to choose from in the Chora and at the beaches. I would recommend you rent a car to fully explore the island and all that it has to offer. For the price paid I was extremely satisfied- clearly this isn't a 5 star hotel, but I greatly preferred it to paying a lot more for getting no more pleasure and staying at a tacky or pretentious 3- or 4- star hotel.

Just OK

Posted Jul 24, 2011
If you're looking for an affordable place and don't care much about anything else, this place is good enough. It's about a 20 minute walk from the Mykonos town center. It's not a problem if you rent a scooter/ATV/car, but if you want to go to the clubs or bars in the town, you're going to have to pay for a cab. It's nice that the transport from the port is included in the hotel, but we had to pay for a cab anyway since our flight was too early for them to take us to the airport. That added additional expense. It was nice that there was a fridge in the room. The room also came with some dishes, but nothing to warm up food. There was also a pretty serious ant problem. The towels were never changed in 4 days, even when we asked. The view was beautiful. But again, the location was definitely not ideal. So, I would say it's just OK.
