Good hotel for couples

Posted May 31, 2013
Pros: The pool area and breakfast buffet!
Was a great hotel apart from the lack of interest from the staff towards the end of your stay. They would turn off the charm and be quite unhelpful towards the end of the stay. Also tried to make us pay €20 for a cab to the airport which was only a few miles from the hotel, that was after we were quoted €15 from another member of staff the previous night! When we queried it, we were told that the driver would be using an older car - which was rubbish. We ended up getting a local cab and it only cost us €9. Bed sheets were also occasionally dirty, but overall cleanliness was good and towels were all clean and smelt good. Location would need you to rent a car/quad bike/moped for the stay as mykonos town is a little walk away. Breakfast buffet was good though - really sweet fruit and amazing Greek yoghurt! Pool area was also amazing. Also played great chill out music all day :)

Relaxing atmosphere

Posted May 25, 2013
Pros: The swimming pool area was very relaxing. Great place to sit by the pool bar to watch the sunset.
Cons: Our bathroom was quite small.
Location: Quiet location about 10 minutes walk downhill into Mykonos Town along the roadside.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere of the hotel is very relaxing and our suite had a wonderful view out to sea. The buffet breakfast was well presented and lots of choice. The hotel is situated about ten minutes walk from Mykonos town although this could be a difficult climb back up as there is no pavement you have to walk along the roadside. We took a taxi there is also a bus during the daytime. The photographs on the travel website portrayed the hotel accurately.

Disappointing

Posted Sep 7, 2012
Location: It's not close to town as it said when booking.
When booking the hotel, it said that it is close to town, yet it was a 15 min unpleasant walk. The suite has the smallest room, and it smelled like sewage in the room. I was very disappointed in the hotel

Nice hotel with great location and facilities

Posted Aug 19, 2012
Our stay at the hotel was nice. The facilities of the pool bar and room are comfortable. Whilst in Mykonos, the staff were always very helpful. However, prior to our arrival, we had asked if we could swap a queen size bed for two twins. This was originally promised but when we rang a second time to confirm this, we were told that it wouldn't be possible without charge and they had no recollection of this promise.

Very cool boutique hotel!

Great hotel in a very good location - close to town in Mykonos - but far away enough to "be away" from the bustle when you want to rest. We were very happy with our stay at Ostraco Suites!

Fantastic Hotel

Posted Jun 20, 2012
Pros: Defintely the pool and staff.
Cons: You have to hop on a bus to get to many of the beaches that Mykinos is famous for.
Location: The location is really close to the Port, and only about 10 mins walk to the town and the night life.
This hotel was amazing, the pictures you see online match the decour when you get there. The staff are very friendly, and go out of your way to get you anything you want. I was there with a friend for two and half days, and spent most of it by the pool. The resort seems to be more for couples, but if you are single and don't mind lounging by the pool, then this is an amazing place. It is only a 10 min walk from the main town, and all the night life that Mykinos has to offer. The beaches are only a short bus ride away as well. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a descent place to stay in Mykinos.

Nice Ambiance, little room amenities

Posted Jul 25, 2011 on Hotels.com
Ostraca is a quaint small hotel within walking distance to town. The rooms are small with few amenities. For example, no place to put your soap and shampoo, other than on the floor. The vanity is also very small leaving little room for things that my wife and I have, and we travel relatively light. The cable TV was inop. the day we were there, but the bed was comfortable and the breakfast buffet was well appointed with fresh fruit, pastries and the like. The morning hotel clerk was a little standoffish, which surprised us, since we checked in late the night before, and Nicki (night receptionist) couldn't have been nicer. This (rudeness) is typical in Greece. The pool area is great and well appointed with lounge chairs, both in and out of the sun.
