Nice hotel but on a steep hillPosted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: Very quiet, very clean food OK
Cons: Information on Mykonos and available things to do on the island, local bus availability etc . Not having to sign in and out sun bed towels.
Location: Location was very quiet, with little to do other than sit round the pool or wander down to a small beach
The hotel staff where extremely obliging apart from the reception who were neither informative nor helpful. The reception and concierge staff were not up to the usual 5 star standard. There were a couple of days when residents of the hotel struggled to find sun beds; this was due to the hotel giving day passes to passengers from the cruise ships. When this was questioned with the staff they just shrugged their shoulders. One day there was 50 extra day people which then put pressure on the pool bar and staff as there was no additional staff to compensate for the additional demands.

A nice getawayPosted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: View was nice along with the pool.
Cons: No parking to speak of. Had to park outside the gate on a hill downslope with no convenient access.
Location: Island is small so easy to go to wherever you want.
Mykonos has a lot of hustle and bustle and traffic near the old town. This is a short drive away and allows you to get away from that when you want.

Great friendly staff, always willing to pleasePosted Jun 26, 2014
Pros: Practically everything
Cons: The internet is a bit slow
Location: Plenty for all ages.however cant really recommend it for the disabled
Everything was great.the only downfall is that there are many steps to get from place to place.but there are small cabs that will transport you.hotel staff are very polite and always go out of their way to help.i misplaced a piece of expensive jewellery and found it placed on the bedside table,by the housemaid.she must have found it in between the sheets when she came to make up my room in the evening.so they are very honest also.p

Just lovelyPosted Jun 23, 2014
We had a wonderful stay last week at the St Johns. Advice: you need to hire some transport to get around the island ideally and be ready for all the stairs in the hotel! I am over mid term pregnant with twins so the stairs were really a bit much and I would imagine they would be if you were infirm. The hotel and staff were wonderful; very friendly people, very clean rooms and facilities, great breakfast, sensational views. We have stayed at the Mykonos Grand before, which is better but double the price and over at Elia in the Myconoian Villas, which was a bit far out on a quad bike. This hotel represents superb value for money and is an excellent choice.

Great pool, views of the sea & breakfastPosted Jun 19, 2014
Pros: Breakfast is amazing, the therapists in the spa are very good, the staff are exemplary throughout. Great pool and our particular room was great.
Cons: The Symposium restaurant is over priced and the food not as good as it should be. There are much better restaurants in Mykonos town.
Location: It's a taxi or shuttle ride into Mykonos town (5 mins and 10 euros if the taxi option). We didthe day trio to Delos which is a 30 min boat trip.
We stayed in a sea facing room which had a patio and balcony all of which were great. The bathroom had a bath and jacuzzi shower. All of the staff from the housekeeping, coffee shop attendant, concierge, spa staff, bar staff breakfast waiting staff and restaurant manager were friendly, efficient, made you feel welcome and very helpful. The pool was lovely and we used the spa 3 times ...all good experiences. There is also a basic gym which suffices. We had complementary wine and fruit in our room and sparking wine on our arrival.

The view is nice, that's about itPosted May 22, 2014
To start, I was here on my honey moon, and no point did the hotel staff try and make it an exceptional experience for us, besides try to upsell me a car rental to upgrade the room( no thanks i'd rather take a taxi) the food is over priced, and wasn't good. We stayed at the hotel for 5 days and only had the room cleaned twice. The cleaning crew decided to knock on the door twice after 6pm to clean and I turned them away, who cleans that late? Also they seem to not care about the do not disturb sign on the door, and the mini bar check is honesty very annoying, if I wanted a refill on something that I drank let me tell you I want something don't knock on my door every day at random times asking me to check the mini bar, The nicest staff members I met there was only 1 of the drivers (Carlos I think, sorry if it's wrong) greeted us every time we passed by him, with hello sir and mam, which is very professional! Also 2 young ladies at the information desk, helped me and my wife out with recommendations at other places to eat as well as arranging taxis for us. The view was nice but this hotel isn't the only one with this view. One big issue I had was the internet that is provided for "free". It's a JOKE. It doesn't work, I even called to complain and they told me it's because a lot of ppl use it. I asked if I could pay for better internet and they said no. I used wifi at restraunts that made this internet look like a joke. I won't be coming back here, that's for sure.
