“Great location and wonderful area”

Everything was good except when I was asked by the front desk during the check in to pay access fees to use the internet and the swimming pool. This wasn't mentioned online.

“Fabulous hotel right on the beach”

This is a great hotel, right on the beach. Spacious, lovely rooms. We had a single (1queen bed) but it came with a full kitchen and a small balcony with a view of the ocean. It was very new, so everything was nice. We could walk to the touristy boardwalk area, a little less than a mile away. Nice pool area outside with w hot tubs. Parking across the street.

Must see

Go to Huntington State park. It's a gem about 10miles south of the tourist area. 3 miles of pristine, undeveloped beach front, nature trails and inland water areas where you can see wildlife. Just a couple dollars to get in for the day.

“Everything first class!”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was excellent, service was great. Convenient to everything. Weather was a bit cool, so didn't do much on the beach,but it looked inviting. Highly recommend!

“Hotel does NOT emphasize customer satisfaction”

The management of this hotel (at least certain individuals) have no interest in customer satisfaction. The management arbitrarily cancelled perks/benefits that had been promised both on the website and in conversations before making the reservation, despite the fact that those perks were a big part of my reason for choosing Anderson over the many other hotel options in Myrtle Beach. Anderson costs a good bit more than many of the hotels in Myrtle Beach, and I expected the management to have a commitment to customer satisfaction that matched their higher rates, which they do not. One manager in particular, I believe the senior manager, actually used the phrase "that's just the way it is" multiple times in defending the arbitrary removal of promised features/benefits of a stay at this hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Myrtle Beach, there are hotels that offer comparable accommodations for less money, and, possibly, better overall customer satisfaction. What I expected for spending more was not just better accommodations, but a better overall experience. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. Keep looking.

“Not the best "bang for your buck"”

While the rooms were great, with a kitchenette in each room, and being right on the beach, the amenities for this "luxury" hotel were severely lacking for the money spent. There is no food provided. Yes, there are kitchenettes in the room, but If you are looking for a continental breakfast... go elsewhere. I flew, so I had no car and had to walk everywhere. Speaking of, the neighborhood of this hotel is not the greatest. There are several sketchy hotels surrounding it making it uncomfortable to leave. The Spa is overpriced for the services received. My $125 mani/pedi started chipping the very next day. And the lazy river is more like a lazy 10ft. oval. The best part was the fact that the hotel was on thebeach and each room had an ocean view.

Area recommendations

I would recommend finding a hotel in North Myrtle Beach. Hotels and neighborhood is nicer.

We have found the 2nd week in June or the 2nd week in Oct. is the best times to go. The weather is just right. Not too hot or too cold.

“Great Hotel”

It's clean, comfortable and in a great location. This is my fourth year staying and I plan on staying there again. This is the best hotel I have stayed in and I have been coming to Myrtle Beach for 15 years.

NY Prime in Myrtle Beach, Greg Normans Grill in North Myrtle Beach and Frank's in Murrels Inlet are great.

“GREAT place to stay in Myrtle”

Wow! This was a really nice condo with 2 bedrooms, a living room and kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Everything looked brand new. We had an "Ocean View" room and you could actually see the ocean. The pools were very nice. I didn't use the small lazy river, but others did and seemed to enjoy it. This property is right on the beach and only a few miles from Broadway at the Beach, so it was the perfect location. When we stayed, it was cheaper than 2 hotel rooms and way more room! Only complaint is the beach bar on the property was outrageously expensive ($10 for a cocktail) and they watered down the liquor (we ordered some drinks straight and they were like water) and still charged a premium. Not quite sure how that is legal.

“Look no further than the Anderson Club”

This was our first visit to MB and didn't know what to expect. The Anderson is in a great part of town convienient to shopping and the features of MB. The hotel is clean, clean, and did i say clean. The staff was great and very helpful. The rooms are loaded with features and very comfortable. We started with a two bedroom which doesn't compare to anything that i've stayed in for a long time. The hotel was very accommodating when we asked for an oceanfront room, what a view. Overall we had a great time in MB, with shopping, resturants and walks on the beach. I will only return if we can stay at the Anderson Club.
