Perfect location/horrible stay

Posted Sep 16, 2014
I was so excited about the pictures of the location. Got there and the view from my room was a destroyed building. Walk outside and the smell was unbearable. It was like raw sewage. The white towels had stains. Had to get my own. The dryer had sand in it. My second night a huge bug was in my bed. I was up at 1am going crazy. My kids where sleep so I stayed and waited for them to get up and we where out. I was so tired on my trip back home. Never again!!

I need of an immediate update

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: leaving.
Cons: almost everything about this hotel could be improved.
Location: close to shopping, restaurants, right on "the strip." Broadway at the beach is about 2 miles away. We could walk to the pier and the new Sky Wheel.
This hotel was disgusting. There was dirt and grime throughout the entire room. We put our own sheets on the bed because the bedding did not seem clean, however the mattress was so uncomfortable we considered sleeping on the couch. The building beside ours is in the process of being demolished so the immediate beach access is closed and the pool was only open half the time. Would not recommend this place to anyone. The only upside was the girl at the front desk was very pleasant however that really didn't make a difference.

War zone

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: That two nights was all the time we had to stay , and no more.
Cons: Warning of these conditions.
Location: Good beachfront location.
No one told me they were demolishing the 10 story building 50 feet away from our hotel with a cran and a wrecking ball. Concrete dust everywhere ,the pool was closed due to the danger next door. You needed a hardhat to go from the hotel to the parking lot across street. Sleeping late was out the ball drop started at 7:15 am til 4:30pm. Felt the jar of the wrecking ball in our room, didnot feel safe in the room at all. Expedia, you let me down, but it want happen agian.

Miss leading ads

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Ads told of all on site things pool side bar spa etc than put in building 4 buildings away with pool that was closed all day Saturday. No maid services had to run them down. Bringing in tower away from main area price should have been cheaper. E Hotel 2 doors down better and lots cheaper.

Family vacation, Ocean front, Lazy river and pools

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Beach front, pools, lazy river
Cons: Drying wasn't drying very well.
Location: Great location. We only stayed at the Hotel and Beach.
We enjoyed two units as a family get away long weekend. Four adults and two children in one and four adults three children in another. Each unit allowed for plenty of comfortable sleeping room. Kitchen and small washer and dryer allowed convenience with small children. Hotel is located ocean front with a lazy river two hot tubs and two pools. Porsche our room service attendant was over the top great. She was friendly and responded to our need promptly. We had a fantastic experience.

Never stay here

Posted Aug 5, 2014
After waiting 40 minutes for one of two slow elevators, we walked down dark smelly halls only to get to our room which we could barely maneuver through it's narrow hall. The rugs were nasty and didn't hide much. Our bedroom had lovely pink painted toenail clippings and the living area had old dried up food under a stool. The beds were horrible- a rock would have been more comfortable. The small kitchen appliances were broken. Our toilet was broken. We tried to fix it and after removing the tank lid found a homemade fixit of a straw with duct tape in there. The staff claimed to have fixed it but did not. Lucky we had a second toilet which worked somewhat. We couldn't wait to check out but unfortunately that took twice as long to get an elevator as it did checking in.

Total Nightmare... Don't waste your time or money!

Posted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: The ONLY nice part about this experience is the location, alongside the beach. The hotel was dirty!
Cons: Customer service and cleanliness.
Upon entering the room, we immediately noticed the blanket folded over on the right-side bed, the microwave was left opened with the microwave plate on the stove, there was two uncleaned glass cups in sink, the cabinets were left opened, there were utensils inside of a tray left on the counter top (please see photos below). Within 10 minutes of being in the room, the housekeeper knocks on the door and explains that she still has to finish cleaning the room and will return to finish the job in 15 minutes. We leave & return around 5:15 pm, we noticed that none of the cleaning had been done. Therefore, we called the front desk, where they advised us that house keeping had gone home for the day. I went to the front desk to inquire about a room change because we paid for a clean room, not a partially cleaned room or a room that we needed to clean ourselves. That following morning the Guest Services Manager gave us the run around and advised us that she would handle the situation promptly. One of the staff members advised me that the housekeeper lied about the situation and told the housekeeping director that we told her that we would clean the room ourselves. In all, hotel management promised to resolve the problem within a few days. After we returned to NC, they ignored all of our calls and emails and made no attempt to rectify the situation.
