Pros: Pool, bathroom (deep tub nice for bubble bath)
Location: Walking distance to House of Blues
This hotel is okay to stay at but will look for something else next time I visit Myrtle Beach. The bathroom was the nicest feature, and the staff was very pleasant. I didn't sleep well because someone had a dog (was told at check in there was no dogs allowed) and every time the neighbor flushed the toilet it was very loud with the pipe noise. The pool was excellent. I don't like that there was an extra charge for maid service and I had to take out all of my trash when I left (not something I want to worry about when on vacation). Also, if you accidentally leave something in the room you may be charged so be careful.

Nowhere near the ocean

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: It was clean, and very quiet. Easy access to the golf clubs in the community.
Cons: Have the front desk available after 5 pm for late check-in, reinforce customer service to staff, Communicate distance to restaurants and need for car.
Location: There are several golf courses nearby. Nothing is within walking distance including restaurants. If you have a car you can access all of Myrtle Bch.
Barefoot landing is across the intra-coastal waterway just a few blocks from the ocean. This is not the hotel that you see there however. What you get is a condominium on the third floor in a golf community where permanent residents and rentals are mixed together. The staff is not available after 5 pm for any issues. When you call the message says "if you booked through another agency rather than direct with our office, we will not call you back til tomorrow morning." There is not a cleaning service and you are asked to strip the beds and wash the dishes when you leave. If you intend to use the pool, make sure they give you a key to the gate. Your room key will not work. This condominium community stretches for many miles and there is no way to tell where you will be assigned. There is only one draw bridge to get there, and if there is an accident or something it is almost impossible to find a way around. No one, even the staff, will give you directions. I travel a lot and do not think I am a hotel snob but this is not a hotel. It is a golf community that decided to rent out condo's it could not sell.

Not a hotel

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: Fairly quiet and spacious rooms
Cons: Staffing needs drastic improvement.
The rooms of this facility are independently owned so some will be nicer and cleaner than others. Ours were pretty nice and clean but be advised you are basically renting someone's condo. This is not a hotel with a staff or maid service. Extra charge for that if you desire. If you leave your key in the room they want sixty five dollars to have someone give you another. They also charge a hundred dollar security deposit per room and hold it on your credit card for 5 to 7 business days. Oh yes, you must put your trash down the buildings trash shute before you leave as well. If arriving after 5:00pm there will be no one at the Beach vacation office to properly give you your keys and instructions on where to locate your rooms which at night can be a problem as they are not easy to find. They put your keys in a lock box mixed in with everyone and not separated. If you check in after 5:00pm the following morning you have to drive back to the Beach vacation office and check in, which in my case took forever. The front desk staff needs to have some cake brought to them or something as they seemed disgruntled. A little smile goes a long way. The customer is paying for your job, remember? Bottom line: If you are the type that doesn't like a chain hotel, don't need maid service and don't mind the properties being a bit out of the way and hard to find then this is the place for you.

Well worn golf villa

Posted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: The resort pool behind the main towers is large, lovely and not crowded.
Cons: Cleaner, newer everything. Televisions were tiny and old, no password provided for internet router.
Location: Good proximity to restaurants and shopping. A couple miles to the beach.
Stayed in golf villa. Typical beach condo furnishings with very stained/worn carpet and sofa. Spare blankets on floor of closets. Very basic, you get what you pay for, so don't have high expectations.

Very nice place

Posted Sep 3, 2014
This was a nice place however I'm so use to having housekeeping services if we run out of something so therefore I had to go out and buy a lot of things for the place. The building was a nice place however they could Power wash the outside of the building.

Tower view of inter coastal water.

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Quiet lots of room.
Cons: Directions, more information about the place.
Location: Good location, close to theatre restaurants and shopping.
Needs some updating. Balcony doors difficult to open and close. Wasps on balcony living in table. Repair man almost got stuck outside due to the door. We were not given much information about the place; where swimming pool was, that there was a place to eat. Directions to tower were not helpful, had to ask someone that was outside where our tower was located. Rental office is difficult to find.

Nice condo . Close to everything

I would stay here again . We had a 2 bedroom 2 bath with balcony . We got a "king" bed ( which was actually 2 twins put together) living room carpet had a stain on it. Was supposed to be no pets but occasionally heard large dog bark. Our pool was small but clean and quiet. The outside of the property is very well cared for. Inside needs some updating.
