Our reservation booked through Expedia was for a hotel room with a balcony but was handled by Beach Vacations. When we arrived we had to pick up keys at their location which was after hours. Our packet sent us to a different resort which they said was an upgrade to an efficiency. It was an old building and the room was clean but gloomy, outdated and definitely not an upgrade as I knew what Barefoot Landing offered. This balcony was small, over looked the ocean and also the roof between towers loaded with pipes and aide conditioning. It was a depressing room. We called the service and after several talks the supervisor suddenly located a place for us at Barefoot after we had been told there was nothing available. The plus was that they upgraded us there to a three bedroom villa which was lovely with a huge balcony that overlooked the waterway. We were so grateful that we spoke up and did not settle for their first location.

Beautiful golf courses close to the beach, but disappointing condo. The mattresses were hard and uncomfortable. The carpets were very dirty. Cheap, thin towels; no dish soap or coffee filters. Needs updating! We only stayed a weekend. It would be nice to have a few amenities. We travel a lot and this was a disappointing for such a large property. It has potential to be great.

Pros: Location, amenities, room layout
Cons: Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning - hair in the bathroom on check-in is nasty.
Location: Near Barefoot Landing which has a number of restaurants, shops, and activities. About a 10 minute walk to the beach. Nice location.
Nice location, layout. Could have been a tad cleaner in the bathrooms.

I was pleasantly surprised. It felt like a home away from home. It was clean. Spacious yet cozy. I really like the view of the little lake outside off the patio.
