Elevators are awful

19 stories and only 2 elevators. Add 20 minutes each time you need to go to or leave your room. What a joke. Lazy river very small. Indoor pool area very plain.

We arrived Sunday afternoon, got checked in and took our things up to the room. They were putting in a new elevator, so they only had two working. We were on the 17th floor and the elevator issue was never a problem until Friday afternoon and Saterday. Had to wait a little but never felt like it was a big deal. We really liked the secured parking. They have four pools indoor, so you can use them year round. The staff were very helpful when asked. Everyone really seemed to enjoy their jobs.

The elevators were a big pain when the hotel was busy. They are adding new ones, so it should much better soon. The view from our suite was amazing!

Overall the resort was clean and the staff was helpful. But the resort was under construction and they put use right next to the work. I understand the off season work but they should of let us known what was up and put us in a different room..

Nice resort in front of the beach

Pros: Facilities and cleanliness and comfort
Cons: Parking garrage is a very big 6 story building but it is one across one block away (although still visible from the hotel).
Location: Fun activities, good restaurants, gift shops and other shopping complexes, Sun bathing in the beach or any other activity on the beach.
Very nice hotel, clean room, large bathroom, ocean front view with small balcony, good Wi-Fi. Hot water pool, hot water running river and hot tub are really cool and fun. Free coffee and free DVD offerings. Conveniently located to nearby dining locations. Boardwalk goes from the back side of the hotel.

Great 'condo'

Pros: Room layout was ideal - I haven't seen a similar property in Myrtle before. Great for privacy but shared common area, bigger than separate rooms.
Check out the unusual room types - off-season prices are great for sharing space with a condo-feel. Cheaper than two rooms.

Good location on the beach!

Pros: The thing I enjoyed the most was the great customer service from Brittany!
Cons: The only thing I didn't like was the slow elevators and hotel construction.
Location: Located near the boardwalk, great location near plenty of restaurants and bars!
Overall I had a good stay here! What initially captured my attention was the low off season rates. You definitely couldn't have found a better location and room for the price. We arrived late coming from out if town but the check in was prompt. A very nice young lady named Brittany checked us in, I was there for my b-day so she gave me a free pass to a show there, told me about all of the restaurants I could dine at free just great customer service. I was disappointed when I got to my room which was booked through expedia... I requested a king and given a very small room w/ doubles. I immediately called the front desk and Brittany apologized then upgraded us to a condo w/ kitchen, washer/ dryer, ocean view etc! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I wasn't happy about the slow elevators and had to actually take the stairs due to extended wait times and Brittany apologized and said they were working on it. I would stay here again just because if the service I received from that young lady.

Cons: not enough elevators for this many rooms, but they are trying to improve the speed and efficiency of them by updating
great place, great location, secure parking, bad elevators but they are working on that. Bay View seems to be eager to please and very interested in making sure their customers are happy.

The hotel was very nice but a bed bug was found in the pullout couch/bed.
