close to sights

The hotel room was dated but clean. The staff was friendly and if you want a view of the ocean get a ocean front room and not a ocean view because you will not be able to get the feel of staying right on the beach. But all in all I would stay there again because the price was affordable .

Two night stay

Very good value for ocean front hotel. If you need updated kitchen appliances, spend more $$ so you will be satisfied as appliances are from are from the 70's but they work well. The TV is new flat screen. My ocean front room was clean and quiet but not luxurious. Parking was also plentiful and free.

Not what it appears

Pros: It is situated in the more desirable North Myrtle beach area.
Cons: The entire facility needs a facelift.
Location: Many fast food places within a mile or 2 but surprisingly few sit down family restaurants.
The room you book will not necessarily be the in the building in the picture. This building pictured is of luxury suites only. The Boardwalk Beach Resort has 4 buildings. Unless the average vacationer wants to shell out top dollar, he will be placed in one of the other 3 neighboring buildings which are relatively old and in need of a facelift. By the way, check in and out is across the street. A slight inconvenience.
