“Clarion Hotel was great!”

No problems! Clean, comfortable room; bed was comfortable, bathroom a decent size; we enjoyed the indoor pool, hot breakfast, free wi-fi, intercoastal view from the dining area, and convenient location. We will return to the Clarion.

“Very nice!”

This is a very nice (and pet friendly) hotel. Our only disappointment was that the indoor/outdoor pool was empty and being repainted for the upcoming season, so our hopes of some fun pool time were dashed. Otherwise, the free breakfast was good, staff was friendly, nice atmosphere. We'll go again! Note, this hotel is a former Holiday Inn (now renovated) located next to the old, closed up Waccamaw Pottery outlet. Nice and quiet, but you can't walk to any attractions - you need a car. The good news is it is only about a mile and a half to great shopping and food at the Coastal Grand Mall. Hotel price was good and worth having to hop in the car to see anything.

Easy access from major roads. It's a shame the area used to be growing, but collapsed due to the economy.

“great getaway for an anniversary”

My husband and I stayed here for our 1 year Anniversary. The view from our room was beautiful, every staff member was very kind, even the lady at the front desk gave us a drink on the house. Great hotel, can't wait to stay again!!

“Restful and very cool place overlooking boaters.”

Great stay! Only wish the whirpool was open. Wedding party added to the celebration. Pool and hotel was very clean. Nice quiet sleep enjoyment.

“Great Price for a Great Hotel!”

I always hate booking hotels online because I am afraid of it will be in an undesirable location or it will not be clean. I was pleasantly surprised with the clarion hotel! It was next to the old waccamaw shopping outlet that is now closed, but the area was not run down. It was a quick drive to Myrtle Waves water park (LOVED IT) and Nascar Speedway park (which I DO NOT recommend) which was the reason for our stay in Myrtle Beach. I have a family of four, two boys ages 6 and 12 and we checked in with another family of four, one boy age 6 and one girl age 9. Check in time is 3:00 but we got in to town early so we tried to check in early. We asked for adjoining rooms and the woman at the front desk said they did not have any rooms clean at that time that were adjoining but she said she would make a note to get adjoining rooms for us when we came back to check in. We did come back later that evening and we were given the adjoining rooms as promised. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. We went to the pool that evening after dinner. It was very nice and the kids loved that they could swim from indoors to outdoors. The next morning we had the free breakfast and it was phenomenal!!!! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. You cannot beat the price! We go to Myrtle Beach every year but usually only for the day to go to the water park because I am unsure of which hotel to stay in. Now I have found the hotel I will stay in during future stays.

“AWESOME!”

The hotel was great! The staff was very friendly, the rooms were SUPER clean. The hot tub was actually hot! The pool and hot tub was never crowded. It was a straight shot to the beach and other attractions. My family and I had a blast! Will continue to book here from now on!

“Great Hotel for a family”

staff was pleasant i was comfortable enough to say i felt it was a home away from home. Excellent stay beautiful hotel I loved each and every day i was there. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone. When i go back to myrtle beach Im definately staying at the Clarion Hotel again :)

“And we didn't hear a thing”

There was a motorcycle event in Myrtle Beach starting the next day we learned, an area was being cordoned off for them in the parking lot, and a few had already arrived. Our rooms were on that side of the building, and we were concerned about noise. They moved us to the other side without even requesting, and we had a much nicer view as it turned out. One of our party heard the desk person quote a price on the phone. Boy, did we get a great deal. I'm considered the hotel locating guru now. The breakfast and the attendants were very good and the coffee excellent. One odd thing: No exhaust in the bath?

The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. The cookies and lemonade were delicious when we checked in and the breakfast was wonderful.
