“We will most certainly go back!”

We were worried about how our stay would be after reading some of the reviews, but for the price we took a chance. I have to say it couldn't have been better! The staff was very friendly and gave us recommendations on where to eat. They even left fresh flowers in our room one time! The pool was one of our favorite parts we weren't aware that it was heated so that was a pleasant surprise. The only thing negative I have to say is that the breakfast was very skimpy, but we didn't mind sleeping through it. The location was great right on the beach, close to the sky wheel, and right down the street was a great bar/restaurant called beach house bar and grille that stayed open late with a great porch! We will be going back next year! Also on a side note an attraction to miss would def be the Pirates Voyage if you want a dinner show go to Medieval Times! We found out the hard way and went to Pirates and got instant mashed potatoes and a chunk of meet, and the show was not impressive especially for the money we paid.

Shopping
The Tanger Outlets had great prices, and it was a fun place to walk around. And of course Broadway on the Beach! Plenty of restaurants and in the peak season a great place for nightlife!
Dining
We spent most of our time eating and this is what I would say: Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville: The quality of food we got was one of the lowest out of all the restaurants we ate at. It is definitely a tourist trap we don't mind paying money for food when it is good. Drinks were average quality. Hardrock Cafe: We really enjoyed this whole dining experience. The drinks were amazing because they made most of their mixers from scratch. The atmosphere was really inviting and there was plenty to look at while waiting for our food which was also great! We will most definitely go back! Benjamin's Calabash Seafood Buffet: We couldn't leave the beach without eating some seafood we checked out and asked around about a couple of different places the locals said to try this one out and they were right! Great crab legs of course, but the sides and other dishes were good as well!

“Days Inn Beach Frond”

It was a great place to stay for little money. It wasnt like most cheap hotels that are dirty and very bad service. I felt like i was in a high scale hotel, with the great service and clean room and very close to the beach.

Area recommendations
Myrtle Beach for sure. It was such a pretty town and very clean and the people were very nice. I would reccomend it just for that reason.
When to go
I wouldn't recommend going in the middle of summer because it is packed and the weather is super hot. I went the week after labor day which was perfect. The weather was still nice but it wasn't crowded at all. When we went out we didn't have to wait in long lines just to eat or for other activities we got in right away.
Getting there
Getting there from where I live was an extremely long drive. If you live close to SC its ok to drive, but if you live more than 5hrs away from there i would suggest flying or going by train. The drive is just too long.
Getting around
getting around was pretty easy. everything is pretty much either in walking distance or along 1 road making everything easy to find.

“good location, just not the cleanest”

The location isn't bad right on the beach but the rooms were very dirty and not cleaned. Staff were friendly enough but didn't seem like they ever cleaned.

Area recommendations
Anywhere is nice if your near the beach, just crowded in front of the mega resorts

“Spend a little more money and stay somewhere else”

Here are some +'s: the staff was very nice & friendly, our "efficiency" room's balcony overlooked the pool and the ocean, and parking was adequate (some spots are even under an overhang). The a/c in the room worked well. Here are the -'s: the motel itself is very dated and does NOT look nearly as nice as the pictures. It could definitely use a pressure washer and a LOT of paint. Even though the room was an "efficiency", it was very tight and cramped. The furnishings were very old and needed repair (chair was coming apart, the table had nails sticking out of the top that held the legs on, a drawer on the armoire was broken, etc.). The hot air discharge from the a/c unit dumped onto the balcony which made the balcony very hot and noisy. The door to the balcony was a challenge to get open and shut. The bathroom was very small and cramped. In short...this motel is in dire need of maintenance and upgrades.

Area recommendations
If you want to stay closer to the boardwalk, activities and in nicer accommodations, stay north of 3rd Ave N. or farther south than this Days Inn.

“Great hotel for the price”

Upon arrival, we were early to check in. The air conditioning had gone out in my car and we drove all the way from Ohio. The friendly receptionist had the housekeepers clean our room next so we could get into the air conditioning. The room was much larger than I had expected, and was mostly clean, considering they had to hurry our room up for us. Our room was a few steps away from the pool and the beach. Besides screaming kids at the pool and the crowdedness of Myrtle Beach in general, we were comfortable at the water. The only "con" to the hotel was the limited parking. We went in August and if you took the car out on the town and arrived back to the hotel anytime after 11pm, you were out of luck as far as finding a spot to park. Other than that, I found that the Days Inn was within my budget, at a great location, had friendly staff, clean and large rooms, and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Myrtle Beach.

Area recommendations
The Days Inn was still in what I would consider "downtown Myrtle Beach" but it was a few blocks away from all the activities which is why I liked it. Unless you are going to Myrtle Beach for spring break or if you prefer to be in large crowds with a lot going on, avoid staying in the area where the waterpark, amusement park, ferris wheel and Ripley's museum is. In the prime of August, this area is completely packed with people, the traffic is at a constant stand-still, and parking is impossible. It was nice to stay a few blocks down, where we were still within walking distance, but could get away from the bustle and noise.
When to go
I cannot advise when the best time to go would be, but I will never be going back in August. It was almost 100 degrees every single day, the humidity was strangling, the crowds were relentless, all of which added the element of stress to my vacation, which is what I was going on vacation to avoid.
Must see
I would absolutely recommend Boardwalk on the Beach to Myrtle Beach travelers. Boardwalk is a large shopping/eating area (comparable to Downtown Disney at Disney World) located just a mile or so from downtown Myrtle Beach. Some businesses include Margaritaville, Ron Jon Surf Shop, Ripleys aquarium, Senor Frogs, Pepper palace and several other stores and places to eat. Another attraction that I recommend is Pirates Voyage. Pirates Voyage was a brand new attraction when we went and I would absolutely pay to see it again. It's like Medieval Times but with a pirate theme. From start to finish, I felt like I was in a pirate village and found myself singing along with the performers, and not wanting it to end. The food was plentiful and amazing. The soup and the chicken were my favorite. Despite the few interuptions from Dolly Parton (which took my experience from "this is SO awesome" to "really!?" I found Pirates Voyage to be well worth the time and money.
Shopping
Boardwalk on the Beach. Hands down, an amazing place to go. During our 4 day trip, we ended up at Boardwalk every day because there was so much to see and do. Avoid the "Gay Dolphin" gift shop. It was widely advertised as the biggest and best gift shop on the beach, but I found it trashy and busy. Most of the items they sold were covered in a generous layer of dust and dead cockroaches were visible between aisles. I quickly left the store and won't be returning.
Dining
Margaritaville, Senor Frogs, New York Pizza (on the beach by Ripley's Museum), Krispy Kreme.
Events and shows
Pirates Voyage! You won't be disappointed. The entire family will love this show.

“For the price, okay”

The room was completely not like the picture led on to be. There w ere dents in the refrigerater as if someone beat it with a hammer, there was a large tear in the shower curtain, the majority of the lights in the room wouldn't work, and we had to clean the bathtub when we arrived so it was sanitary. Although it was not the cleanest of hotels, the quaility of services was satisfactory and pleasant.

“First week at clinical”

Hotel was as expected for low priced on the beach location. Fridge was really cold, froze everything I had. But as a plus it was nice and big.

“A Worthwhile Stay”

We had an oceanfront room that was very clean. It was nice that there were 2 seperate bedrooms . The bathroom was very small and the entire hotel could use some updating. It was great to have a kitchenette and a full size refridge. The room and the pool were very clean.
