Nice hotel close to beach.Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: The staff was friendly and helpful.
My experience was great. The hotel room was clean. The hotel had several pools on site. It was a great place for me and my family. It was close to the beach. They also had chairs and tables with umbrellas on the property for free.

Stayed an extra day!Posted Aug 17, 2014
I enjoyed my stay so much that we stayed an additional night. We had to switch rooms and move to the suites building. The room there was amazing! The hotel staff were all very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay again on my return to North Myrtle Beach.

Great stay!Posted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: Beds, views, rooms.
Cons: Towel service.
Beds were very comfortable. Room was better than expected. Awesome view over the pool and ocean. Only drawback was that rooms weren't restocked till later, but understandable with so many guests. Maids were very friendly.

DisappointedPosted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: The staff was pleasant and willing to help.
Cons: The rooms need to be updated and the stairwell needs better lighting.
The room was clean on the surface but it felt dirty. The room had too much furniture and the air kept cycling on and off. The stairwell was poorly lit and had an odor that was not pleasant.

Close to beachPosted Aug 6, 2014
Pros: Hard to say...salt water pool was great for the kids....close to everything!
Cons: Entire complex needs to enter the year 2014! Little or no security!
Location: Need to drive everywhere, but short distance!
Shower was horrible....pools are excellent....hotel needs updating....parking is horrible, but free! No pool towels, bring your own! No restaurant on site!

A HUGE disappointment and NOT worth the money!Posted Aug 5, 2014
My family planned a brief 3-day end of summer get away to Myrtle Beach hoping to enjoy the beach and all the great amenities the Grand Strand has to offer. We ended up waiting too long to book the hotel reservation and thus ended up having to pay top prices during peak season (obviously our mistake). We ended up paying over $200 a night for the Dayton House and were TERRIBLY disappointed. The hotel was dark, dingy, smelly (like old furniture and dust) and it was just plain gross. Although "housecleaning" came all three days there was disgusting dirt, hair and even a few unidentifiable things in the corner of the bathroom. I would never stay there again and urge anyone who is considering staying at Dayton House to bear in mind that this is not a new, clean hotel. I would have been fine if I paid $100 per night, but it was well over $200 and a massive disappointment. Honestly, we couldn't wait to get out of there.
