LOVEPosted May 3, 2015
My husband and I have stayed here for the past two years and went back for the third time with our 6 mo old son and we weren't hesitant at all about Dayton house hotel being a good/clean environment for him. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. This third time was our first time staying ocean front and we loved it. We will return

Close to the beach.Posted Apr 27, 2015
Pros: Great ocean frontage with umbrellas & tables to use. Good pool variety. Full kitchens.
Cons: Change double beds to queen beds. Parking could be a problem if people do not park a little closer to each other.
Location: Good location, near the Boardwalk, lots of restaurants within walking distance. Good shopping if you have a vehicle near Conway.
We were upgraded to the 'suites' section which only had double beds. Ocean front room as requested, but I missed the queen size beds that I had reserved. The 'suites' section is a little older but has all that one needs accept for the beds.

Old, outdated not well maintainedPosted Apr 20, 2015
Room carpet was wet in placed and caused room to smell musty. Sink faucet leaked when turned on. Fortunately we were there only one night

Spring Break getaway for the familyPosted Apr 17, 2015
Pros: Ocean front, walking distance to pier, shops and restaurants.
Cons: overhaul the rooms, update them and bring in new mattresses.
Location: nice lawn area with tables and lounge chairs by beach entrance. Could walk to nearby shops, restaurants, not far from Broadway at the Beach.
Usually don't stay in Myrtle Beach but this place promoted itself as a "Family oriented " hotel. Checked in on a Wednesday afternoon. Hotel staff at desk were abrupt and wanted names of occupants and their ages. Thought this was very odd. I gave them names only. I stay at hotels constantly with and without family and can't remember ever being asked that. The room was dated but seemed clean enough, the beds were like trampolines, in fact it had my wife and I laughing every time we got in or out of it. Not really uncomfortable but very springy. The parking was another story, they have ample parking but there was nothing ever open in the closest lots. If you are staying there, park it and leave it or plan on parking on the next block. We had an "ocean view" that did provide a nice view of the ocean, no problems there. However, trying to sleep with the slider open to catch the breeze and hear the ocean turned into a nightmare when there were people still in the hot tub area at 1:00 pm who were very loud. Hotel did nothing about it. They finally went off to bed around 2:00am. This all sounds bad but it is typical and what you get in these older hotels on the strip in Myrtle Beach. Next time we'll go back to North Myrtle for a better family atmosphere instead.

Great location. Close to many locations.Posted Apr 13, 2015
We reserved this hotel at the last minute. It is an older property, but the rooms are immaculate! The amenities were top-notch. We would definitely stay here again.

Close to the beachPosted Apr 12, 2015
The hotel was really nice, we loved all the amenities. When I visited the beach the water was too cool to be in all day but they have 4 pools and the kids still had just as much fun.

Continue to upgrade....doing a wonderful job!Posted Apr 11, 2015
Pros: Location, cleanliness
Cons: The mattresses.....firmer please!
Location: Near the Grand Strand, Shopping mall, restaurants.
Oceanfront view right on the beach....room was very clean and comfortable. Still had mattresses that were too soft for our liking, but overall a nice stay.Be careful where you park, though. Myrtle Beach enforces city parking next to the South Tower during the months of March- November, and we ended up getting a $20 parking ticket. The hotel has signs up regarding this, but it would be nice if the clerks went the extra mile to tell us that. The location is convienient to shopping, dining and feeding seagulls! This is our 2nd stay here.

Great LocationPosted Apr 11, 2015
Walking distance to many of the attractions I was interested in visiting. I usually don't sleep well in any bed away from home, but found the bed in the room was very comfortable. The room/building was older, but functional and comfortable. Overall, an excellent value and I would stay there again.
