DissapointedPosted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: Shops and pool
Cons: Checking in and receiving your keys during checkin times or hire more staff to clean the rooms and have them ready by checkin time.
Understanding that this lodging facility is not a hotel, it is marketed as one by calling themselves the Hotel Suites at Market Common. They state that you can check in from 4pm to 6pm. We checked in at 4:30pm on Saturday. The office didn't seem to be busy and slow. The employee explained that the room wasn't ready but should be in about 30min. He couldn't guarantee, but he gave us the warm and fuzzy that it should be ready in 30min. An hour and a half later at 6:05, after I called the office, the employee stated that Saturday's are so crazy and the room is now ready. This was absolutely ridiculous to have to wait an hour and a half for my room. When you check into a hotel during check in hours, you expect to get your key to head to your room. Not here. The suite (room 204 in the Radcliffe) from first glance looked nice, however the front door was not inviting (needed paint) the carpet was dirty, the red couch was disgusting with stains and dark patches on the couch, the toilet ran all night. Not impressed and will not stay there again nor recommend to anyone else.

We were very pleased with everything with the exception of a dog barking and howling at all hours in the room on the floor above us.

Your reservation may be changed at the last momentPosted Jul 12, 2014
Pros: It's a condo with a full kitchen. Nice balcony overlooking the shopping area below.
Location: Nice area, very upscale shopping area. Close to Myrtle Beach State Park.
I'm giving bad marks this time since we were turned away AT THE LAST MINUTE and sent to another hotel/condo that was inferior. We stayed at the Market Common last year so I know it's a very nice place. While I was driving to the condo I received a phone call to say that our reservation had been moved to another location in Myrtle Beach -- the reason seemed somewhat implausible given the timing, something about an air conditioner needing repair. I think they overbooked and they simply needed needed to move us. My advice regarding this place is "buyer beware".

Home away from HomePosted Jul 12, 2014
Pros: It wasn't a hotel. It was clean, spacious, TV's in each room, and the community and community events were awesome. The complimentary bicycles were nice
Cons: We had no problems. Everything surpassed our expectations.
Location: it is central to the beaches, Broadway on the beach, movie theatre, restaurants, supermarket, mini golf
We loved it here! We booked a 1 bedroom & Den - it was an apartment. Spacious, the kitchen was equipped with everything to make it function and that we needed. There were starter dishwashing soap and paper towels. If you're there for a long time, then you'll need to shop for more yourself. The surroundings were beautiful, quiet, and very clean. The apartments are above stores - which seem pricey from the outside, but are actually very affordable. Everything was in walking distance (1-3 mins.) - the movie theatre, restaurants (Ultimate pizza, P.F Changs, Gordon Biersch, et al). There is a bookstore, a grocery (Piggly Wiggly). Not to mention a brand new, large pool area - which was never crowded (lazy river, hot tubs, chair for disabled to enter pool, gym(to be installed), hammocks, ping pong table. Entertainment - Wednesday nights there is music in the streets, Thursday's -music in the park, Friday - movies in the park, Saturday - farmer's market. There is a small play ground just outside the apartments (and a short walk across the street to a larger playground and park area, chairs, benches and rocking chairs lined the sidewalks for everyone's use. It is less than 10 mins to the beaches - Farrow Parkway is at the end of Myrtle Beach and the beginning of Surfside beach - we visited Surfside, which was much quieter than North Myrtle Beach. We simply can't say enough of about the apartments and the location. We felt safe, and loved the community. Already planning our return visit

Great room and surrounding area.Posted Jul 10, 2014
This room and Market Common area was so nice it made up for not being ocean front. Provided a clean spacious up to date room with closeness to beaches.
