Nice View

Posted Oct 20, 2014
Pros: the view
Cons: Sound proofing the lock out units if possible.
Our unit was a lock out type unit. We were in the two bedroom side with a one bedroom unit adjoining through a connecting door. When the people in the adjoining unit returned at 2:30 am being extremely loud, it was as though they were standing in the middle of our unit. No sound barrier at all. The night before, we were awakened at 3:00 am by someone at the Embassy Suites pressure washing a piece of equipment just below our window. The staff I contacted in the middle of the night promise to refund half my nightly rate but when I checked out she said they could not do that since I had paid through Expedia. She did however waive my resort fee charges. Unit also needed some routine maintenance attention. Door handle was falling off sliding door, towel racks and toilet tissue holders falling off the walls to name a few. I made a list and left it with the housekeeping supervisor.

Fair hotel

Posted Sep 22, 2014
The room had chipping paint on the wall. The walls were thin so i could hear loud kids staying next door. The comforter had a rip and bleach mark on it. Otherwise the property itself was nice. Pools and hot tubs nice. Also the hall where my room was always smelled like cooking good.

Very nice hotel and facilities

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: I liked that the beach was close by, the various types of pools and various activies like the tennis courts and volleyball courts throughout.
Cons: The furniture to be a little more up to date and the cleaning staff to come daily and do a better job.
Location: The location was great....very close to the beach, the outlets and a nice shopping center that has a Walmart and a couple of fast food spots.
My family and I stayed in a 2 bedroom villa at the Canterbury court and we really enjoyed! The villa furniture is a little out dated, but very clean when we arrivied. My only issue is that the cleaning staff only came to clean the villa once during our 3 day stay. And when they did come to clean they only did an O.K. job. Our toilet also got flooded once, but they had someone come out right away to fix the issue and they gave us vouchers for free starbucks coffee for our inconvenience. The beach is close by and they have a nice childrens slash pool playground area. Overall our stay was great, the room size was perfect for my family of four. We would definitely stay here again.

Just okay...

Pros: The pool/splash pad area, the beach access, the spa at the hilton, and the gym facility
Cons: a more updated modern room, and better customer service
Location: Went to the pirates voyage, also enjoyed the Royale Spa at the hilton, enjoyed the water parks as well.
I was disappointed on how out dated the rooms were and how far we were from the mail facilities. it was nice staying in a villa condo but was disappointed in the room features and having to troop from the main hotel facilities to the our room everyday. Front desk and hotel staff were not the friendliest and had no southern hospitality. House keeping was nice and always greeted us and took care of our room. The phones in our room did not work when calling the front desk. Front desk staff did not seem at all friendly or helpful. it not work to statify our needs and nor did they go above and beyond. Enjoyed the pool areas and beach access that was the best the hotel has too ofter along with the great gym facilities. Front enterance people where not at all friendly.

Aging property is not well maintained.

Posted Aug 16, 2014
The mattress in the bedroom was of poor quality. The mattress in the sofa bed was ripped and losing stuffing. The sofa bed sheets were dirty and full of sand. This did not inspire confidence on the overall cleanliness of the rooms. The porch had carpet that was wet the duration of our stay, despite some sunny days. It rendered the porch unpleasant. The beach and the pool were lovely but the towels were well worn. The staff was nice.

Embassy Suites is the best; no so much Brighton

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: Embassy Suites!! Also, the complimentary shuttle service was terrific. This was a true tropical, vacation-like atmosphere. Can't recommend enough.
Cons: Clean and update the room at Brighton. Clearly advertise all services are at Embassy Suites (check in, restaurants, concierge, etc.)
Location: Perfect location. Shopping, restaurants, recreation options were easily accessible and nearby even when taking taxi or personal vehicles.
I would readily rate 5 across the board if we had stayed at Embassy Suites the entire time of our stay. It was awesome all around. Unfortunately, we started our vacation at Brighton and immediately moved to Embassy Suites after the first night, more than willing to pay the upgrade price difference. The room at the Brighton was not at all acceptable. The d├ęcor was extremely outdated (sparse furniture that was mostly wicker, drapes and bedspread appeared to be from the 70s. The mattress needs replacing, and forced one to roll to the center due to age and lack of support). The vent in the bathroom was dirty, as was the outside balcony. The throw rug had been just tossed to the side, also dirty, one we didn't even want to touch to lay down properly. The kitchen was not stocked with sufficient plates, glasses, no silverware or cleaning products had we wished to use and clean them afterwards. Fair warning ahead of time to set expectations would have been most appropriate.

Are we at the right hotel?

Posted Jul 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
I couldn't believe how nice the hotel was for the price we were paying; I thought we had to be at the wrong place! There were so many great amenities, we didn't want to leave! We had no concerns about letting our infant crawl around as the room was very clean. We will definitely be staying in the Brighton tower again!

great for the kids!

This was my fifth visit there, golf was great, location is great, but EVERYTHING seemed to be more expensive, but that's to be expected. Breakfast at the Embassy Suites was nice, employees at the front desk were very helpful but the younger lifeguards at the water park and lazy river were hanging around, talking, not really doing their job. The pier is nice too! I definitely recommend this for a nice 3-4 day stay.
