fair for the price?Posted Sep 30, 2013
Stayed here (Seaside Inn) for value, but the room was small enough to almost be claustrophobic and had no balcony. There was an exterior hallway to all the rooms but no chairs, etc. One elevator for the entire hotel and very slow. Stairs were very inconveniently located also from our room. We did not use the pool; did go to the beach and definitely recommend driving or taking the shuttle due to the distance. The beach at this location is lovely with a very nice facility for your convenience. Restaurant on site was okay but much better are nearby. Beds were comfortable and room was clean!

Beautiful place.Posted Sep 23, 2013
Pros: Beautiful place
Cons: Ice Machine on all property. Help with the nice. When I checked out the staff did not even ask me if I enjoyed my stay or anything......
Location: Do not know. Too tired to do anything.
This was my first stay at Litchfield, it was a beautiful place. Nice room. However, the icemaker in the room did not work and I had to walk a mile to get ice. The room was extremely noisy at night and I did not get any sleep. I decided to go to the hot tub at the pool before checking out to relax before leaving only to find out it did not open until 10:00 and check out was at 11:00. Not much time and the maid was knocking on my door at 10:30 wanting to know if I was ready to leave. Not a great experience. Do not thing I would return.

Nice place on the beachPosted Sep 11, 2013
Pros: Convenient to beach; bright, open living area; reasonably priced for a good beach property; everyone we worked with was nice.
Cons: Not totally renovated; some things are needing repair or replacement (cover for overhead light fell off, for example).
Location: Great access to beach; plenty of nice places to dine nearby. Enjoyed Murrells Inlet, which was close.
Nice place, convenient to the beach (which was of primary importance for us). Not in great shape, but adequate. Nice living area; bedroom is not open to beach. One thing that is important... I didn't know that I have made non-cancellable reservations until after the reservation was confirmed. I made the reservation on Aug 29; when confirmed the confirmation stated must cancel by Aug 23 to avoid one nights charge. That would have been important to know prior! Fortunately, we didn't have a reason to cancel, so it wasn't an issue. I suspect the issue is Expedia, and not the resort.

Had to move to another roomPosted Sep 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is an older property where the units are actually owned individually. The first room we checked into was old and worn. Bedspread and carpeting looked like they could use a good cleaning. But we moved because of the beds. They "crackled" with any movement (not just spring squeaks). Fortunately the staff was able to give us another room which was kept up by the owners. Will look for another place when we go back next year for another meeting. Front desk was very helpful. Nice swimming pools.

Wonderful resort and beachPosted Sep 11, 2013
Cons: The television (which you shouldn't be watching while you're at the beach anyway)
Location: Beaches are less crowded the Myrtle Beach. It is near two grocery stores, restaurants and a few stores. Many other attrictions within a 10 min drive.
This is the second time my husband and I stayed with Litchfield Beach and Resort in the Seaside Inn. The grounds are beautiful and the walk to the beach is pleasant. If you prefer not to walk, you can take a short drive to the Beach Clubhouse. Everyone on the staff was very friendly. The location is great, next to restaurants and two grocery stores.

We will be backPosted Sep 10, 2013
Pros: Everything that you needed was right there.
Cons: We found the TV after a detailed search. The last time I saw a television this small was in 1958
Location: 45 minutes South of Myrtle Beach and close to the beach.
The Websters restaurant is excellent, pool is family friendly and reception staff very helpful..

Bare bones but convenientPosted Sep 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
The resort itself is nice and in a great location but the Seaside building's rooms were like a cheap hotel room and to call it Seaside is a stretch by anyone's imagination. But if you want a great, convenient location with resort amenities at a low rate this is probably all one can expect.
