“Everyone loved the hotel”
I booked this hotel for my family to have a quick getaway...2 kids, 3 adults ages 8-70 and they all enjoyed this hotel. The hotel is just as nice as the pictures (thank god because alot of the rooms in myrtle beach look cheesy online) and it was right on the ocean. My son (aged 10) has a thing about comfortable beds and made mention that the beds felt REAL comfortable. I knew the hotel had a full breakfast so when I asked him if the food was good he said oh yes, it was delicious and my son knows good food so take his word for it. The pools open early and close late and they have flat screen tvs and a dvd player. Everyone agrees that it was a real nice place to stay, no problems and would recommend to others. The only thing mom says is that you may want to bring a few metal cooking utensils and a cast iron skillet from home if you plan to fry food. The room had plenty of everything including silverware and plastic cooking utensils which fortunately didn't melt when removing the french fries from the grease but it would have been good to have metal tongs. They had philly cheese steak sandwiches and fries.
Area recommendations
The north end of myrtle beach has better restaurants and less traffic but both north and south ends in general are nice.
When to go
My family went the third week in October and it was a bit chilly. However, the family was still able to enjoy the beach and most of the hotel facilities. Late summer to early fall is best if being on the beach and enjoying the outside pool are important to you. If not, late October is perfect because the crowds were non existent so everything was much more pleasurable. Hardly anyone at the pool.
What to pack
Pack metal cooking utensils and a few perks from home such as paper towels, dishwashing liquid, cloth for washing dishes and dvds. The hotel only provides plastic cooking utensils but you may prefer metal especially if you are frying food.
