Not my choice if we return to Myrtle

Pros: Quiet and ocean front
Cons: Elevators and housekeeping
Location: Nothing close (walking distance). Several really nice attractions, shows and restaurants but all 10-15 minute drive.
The hotel was ok, for the price I was not impressed. The elevators were horrible you had to constantly wait and wait for an elevator they could use an upgrade in that area for sure. The housekeeping wasn't the best either. For a 6 night stayover our sheets were never changed, the sand was in every bed. Our last day/night there we didn't even get maid service by time they got to our room it was close to 5pm and we just said forget it and asked for clean towels only.

Nice room and good breakfast. Excellent location. The oceanfront view was wonderful. We felt right at home. Completely relaxed! We have stayed here on other occasions and always come back. Our suite met all our expectations.

The hotel is worth returning to for another vacation. The rooms were narrow but there was a good use of space. The property has good breakfast and fun poolside activities.

Great oceanfront view! Crazy parking deck!

Pros: The view was amazing! True oceanfront, nice balcony, the beds were comfy. The water amenities were great!
Cons: Cleaner! More dishes, silverware, pots & Pans, etc. Needs to have recycling bins. Unit was noisy b/c of elevator. Parking garage was a nightmare!!
Location: Location is great; close enough to anything you might want to do - restaurants, etc.
Good experience overall. Check-in was fine, room was what we expected for the most part, dishes and carpet could have been a little cleaner. We stayed for two nights while looking for a condo to purchase in MB. The parking garage ruled this one out for us, but everything else was good. Really enjoyed the outdoor water amenities, and especially liked the indoor pool, hot tub and lazy river b/c it rained and was chilly on Sunday. We were surprised that the little snack shack closed at 5:00 on Saturday and wasn't open at all on Sunday. Saturday late night was pretty noisy (adults) and Sunday early morning (children) b/c we were right across from the elevator, but Sunday night was quieter. Beds were comfy, and view was AMAZING!!!! The parking deck was a nightmare. I was very thankful I had just gotten my brakes checked right before this!

Monterey Bay Suites

Pros: I did not like this hotel.
Cons: Overall cleanliness, the attention to detail, customer care and satisfaction.
Location: The hotel provides very limited to no information about things to do or things nearby.
Monterey Bay Suites is a older hotel located on the north end of Ocean Blvd. The common areas are not well maintained and the 3 elevators have very distinct and foul smells. One of urine, one of a strong chemical and the other of musk and dampness. If you have sensitive sinuses this is not the hotel to book. The breakfast that is offered is not worth the money, McDonald's for $2 bucks is better than what they offer for $25. This hotel is bare bones...if you like amenities with your stay...this is not place for $100 or more per night. I will visit Myrtle Beach again, but will never stay at this place again.

Nice Location But.....

Pros: breakfast was great
Cons: Room condition - room smelt like spoiled milk
Location: Close to the Boardwalk area
Hotel was in a good location and the staff was great, however the room was not very clean and the air system made a very loud noise. Parking area was very poor unless you have a very very small car.

there was mold and water leak behind the pull down bed, parking garage was crampt, rooms were smaller than they appeared in the pictures, the sink was dirty along with some of the dishes in the room, it was not the worst but I would rather stay at the caravelle next door

Comfortable hotel-convenient access to beach

Pros: Staff was friendly, convenient access to the beach, good free breakfast
Cons: TV in bedroom did not work properly, kids could only watch basic news channels at night-not a problem durind day b/c we were out.
Location: a little ways from boardwalk and stores, you do have to drive and park, but again easy access to beach, pool was not crowded.
Staff was friendly, they have service elevators and regular elevators, but no signs to distinguish between the two. The service elevators only go to certain floors- a little confusing the first 24 hrs.

Pros: The rooftop pool was great. Free breakfast was great. Room size was great.
Cons: Two things we did not care for was the side view room and getting through the parking ramp. Parking was very difficult.
Location: We enjoyed the location of this hotel. Much quieter at the north end of Ocean Blvd.
Last minute decision to come to MB. Price, location and cleanliness were priority. We were very happy with our stay. Because we waited to the last minute and wanted a king size bed, we had to get a side view room. Hated it. We will not get a side view location again.
