“Travel reviews were accurate. Very nice hotel.”

We were staying at a time share down the street and decided to stay an extra nite but had to choose another hotel. We chose Ocean Reef based on travel reviews and we were not disappointed! We just had the standard ocean front room but it was very large, had a fridge & microwave, nice flat panel tv, dvd player and a fantastic balcony! I wish we could have stayed more than one nite! Only things we didn't like were minor. One was the shower curtain. It would not stay in place and kept wrapping around us while we were trying to shower! Very annoying! The other was the room keys (cards). They worked once and then we had issues and had to run back down stairs twice. And it's a huge hotel! But we will go back on another visit to Myrtle Beach and stay there. Front desk staff was very friendly too and we were even allowed to check in early!

I would recommend the hotel, despite I had some maintenance problems in my room though. Shower pipe was making noise when used (not a problem for me, but it was annoying for neighbors), and the AC was stinky (visited in October, so didn't need to use it thankfully, kept the balcony door swung open at all times). Other than that the staff was very helpful and nice even though I arrived at night like 4am, room was clean and cozy. Can't beat the location and price deals they offer :) Generally I spent wonderful weekend over there, the weather was sunny clear too :)

“Great Location for fun on the Beach”

Family of 4. Spent just 1 night as a layover on our way to Orlando from DC. Lots to do and eat in Myrtle Beach. This is one of the best hotels on the ocean. Great staff. Fun place for families. Would have liked to stay longer. Highly recommend.

The hotel was really nice. It had an awesom kiddie pool in the front with alot of things for the kids to play with. Their other pools were really nice also, for our older child. The room was nice and comfortable when we came in. The view was spectacular--especially the sunrise. The ladies at the front desk were real nice and helpful. We are looking at coming back again soon.

We had a great weekend at Ocean Reef. The kids loved the pool(s)and the buffet breakfast was very good. Rooms were clean and service staff were extra nice. Will stay there again.

After reading the mixed reviews I was a little reluctant to stay there. I can honestly say the staff, employees and room was fantastic. The decor was definitely beachie (sounds good beachie). I will definitely stay there again and reccomend hotel to anyone. Some reviews stated about the parking a problem. The hotel was full and I had no problem in finding a space.

“Excellent Vacation At Ocean Reef Resort Stay”

Resort was very clean and well maintained. Front desk staff was friendly and very helpful. The staff in the resort restaurant were also excellent. Our room was clean and well maintained. The only issue we had was a noisy heater system. Heater made a lot of weird noises at times. Overall this resort is top notch and I would not hesitate to book there again.
