“the tall one with the water park is a good deal.”
am familiar with the area, so getting in and out was fairly easy. checked in near dinner time, so there wasn't a line. mid-august. 15th floor. 3 elevators on one side and one on the other didn't cause problems. room was nice and clean. had the full kitchen and washer/dryer. water park was pretty good. served beer there, but we took our own cooler, no problem. service was helpful and nice. i will do it again.
“Nice Hotel”
Ive been going to Sand Dunes for years and unlike some reviews, I thought hotel was real nice. Clean, good service and great location. Nothing not to like. I had an oceanfront view and will go back when I go to myrtle again.
“"Awesome place to stay"”
My family really had a great time. The hotel gives you so much extras, it is so worth it. My children didn't want to leave, and I couldn't blame them. I wanted to stay longer. Myrtle Beach is great and the hotel is a great place to stay.
“Great Deal”
I want to go back to Sand Dunes again and soon. I searched long and hard for a great rate. With Expedia we saved close to $800 over a weeks time on the 3bedroom suite alone. The hotel guests also had complimentary use of several things. A 16 acre water park(35 minutes away) was worth the drive. An adventure camp about the same distance had horses in a ring, archery, zip lines, pellet guns, fly fishing, golf driving range, and discounted golf. This was a nice change of pace, but not the highlight of the trip. The Getaway Adventures catamaran ride was also included with the package. Book this reservation early. As of Monday, the earliest we could book it was Friday. We used each of these only once but calculated a savings of over $500. We were allowed to use them every day, but chose not to. Sand Dunes was apart of a cluster of hotels and you could share the amenities of the other hotels as well. Our suite was on the 19th floor-the highest in the area. I loved the view. We had a couple minor maintenence issues when we checked in, but they were quickly addressed. The friendly housekeeping staff was very accomodating. The only other minor problem was one bedroom was too small for two dbl beds. The walking space was not adequate. Since we only slept there, no big issue.
“It was more then Fun, it was GREAT!!”
I stayed in one of the 3brms w 6 of my grands, two daughters and one of their husbands. It was plenty of rm, a lot of activies for the children and helpful staff.
“Great accomidations”
Perfect location on the beach. Just far enough from the main downtown area to be away from the crowds and enjoy your vacation...
“Going Back Soon”
We went for my Mom and fiances birthday. We will be going back soon. The weather was not on our side the entire stay (it rained)however we still had a great time. The restort has an indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room. We stayed in a 3 bdrm ocean view suite w/ balcony. The room had everything we needed. It could use new carpet, fix wall paper in some spots, and touch-up paint. But it's not major. We will be returning in June.
“Great Trip”
Very nice hotel and the view was wonderful. Service was great and local restaurants were fantastic. Everything just as described.
“Myrtle Beach Bachelorette Weekend”
I booked a 10-person villa suite for my best friend's bachelorette party in late April. The website was awesome, and full of helpful infromation/pictures about the hotel. The parking garage is an added bonus, esp. when it comes to carrying luggage to your room and it felt very safe at night. The rooms were clean and the oceanview room was such as good as an ocean front, the villa was awesome and accomadating for 10 20-something-year-old girls. Prices were fantastic and the hotel staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming. Great choice for an off-season hotel.
“Going back next year.”
Loved it! I took my niece and her 5 year old, we had a blast! We got there well before check-in, but they gave us our parking pass and water park passes. It was raining so we went to the indoor pool, the hot tub felt really good after our drive from Tennessee. It was wonderful! When the sun came out we were able to go to the pool and rest until our room was ready. I will definately be going back to stay at Sand Dunes. Easy to get to.
