“not great...”

I needed a two bedroom unit for one night as i took my teenager and two of her friends to a concert at the House of Blues. The tv in one of the rooms turned on then wouldn't turn off or adjust volume or change channels...have you ever tried to sleep with ESPN screaming at you?? The fire alarm in our unit went off when we preheated the oven, and not only did no one check on us, but when i called down to the lobby, no one answered the phones! While the rooms were clean, the whole building is old and the plumbing leaves a bit to be desired. Despite the fact I paid "in full" when checking in, my card was charged $130 more dollars in fees when all we did was sleep in the rooms. Only good thing was the balcony and ocean front orientation. For all the money I ended up spending, I could have gotten a better room at a different hotel. Whole experience was very "myrtle beach"...high pricetag for tacky crap. Give me Hilton Head any day.

“Good place for a lot of people”

Our group spend a good night there. The 2-bedroom suite was big enough to accommodate 10+ people(when not sleeping).

“Can't wait to go Back”

Love the pool and lazy river. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. Right on the beach. Excellent location on the Grand Strand.

Area recommendations

The hotel is about in the middle of Myrtle Beach right on Ocean Blvd. Close to shopping and restaurants.

“Loved it.”

The amenities were great (kitchenette, washer/dryer, safe, free breakfast, jacuzzi) were great. The beds were extremely comfortable. Everything was well maintained and clean. The beach area was not crowded and was very nice. The pool and lazy river were unnecessary, but might be desirable to people with younger children than hours.

“Service with a Frown”

Not a single person was friendly out entire stay! When I offered a "Have a nice day" I didn't get a response. The hotel's location isn't too great, and they don't have a gift shop to buy quick items from. When going to the vending machine I put money in to get a soda and when I pulled it out it was dripping with syrup from an old broken can. Breakfast buffet wasn't open they sent us 2 1/2 miles down the road to another hotel without as much as a "sorry". Credit where credit is due - the room was beautiful, had an amazing view. We got a two room suite. Jacuzzi tub in one bathroom. Washer and Dryer. Three TV's. Full kitchen amenities! The pool and hot tub area was nice. Too bad they don't have the service to go with the hotel, because this place has a lot to offer!

“Stay in North Myrtle Beach, SC”

The hotel is very nice for the money. The suites are awesome. We have stayed there twice and have been satisfied both times. The only thing lacking in my opinion is the breakfast buffet. It could be alot better for the money that you pay to stay there. Overall , it is very nice. I would recommend this hotel, as well as stay there again on a return visit.

Area recommendations

I would recommend if you are visiting Myrtle Beach to stay at the North End. The beaches are not as crowded and the traffic is not as bad as Myrtle.

Events and shows

The shows on the north end of Myrtle Beach are great. The Alabama Theatre, the House of Blues, Carolina Opry are all great to visit and are all within a few miles of each other.

“Can't Wait to Go Back”

The rooms were great. I reserved a two bedroom. My friend and I both had our own rooms. The rooms were really clean and the hotel was quiet during the day and at night. It was a really relaxing stay and I would definitely continue to stay at the Seaside Resort when visiting North Myrtle Beach.

“great hotel at good price”

The 3 bedrooms apt. was beautiful with terrifically large balcony affording excellent views of beach, water, and town. All needed items were supplied---and were nice, not cheesy mismatches. A nice touch was the huge breakfast selection which they allowed you to take back to the room--even supplied coffee in the room. Only down side was that there was a problem with ants around the dishwasher in the kitchen. However, they responded quickly and ants were contained.
