Location: We were there to visit Canadian friends and really didn't care about things to do, but we did visit the Acquarium which we enjoyed very much.
We were out of the room most of the time, but can't complain about a thing. Had a wonderful view of the ocean and pier and overlooked one of the pools. It is a very comfortable and quiet place. Breakfast at Marlin's is excellent! I would recommend this place to anyone.

NOT MUCH PRIVACYPosted Oct 6, 2013
Pros: THE PIER ACCESS AND BARNACALS RESTURANT
DID NOT LIKE THAT THE BATHROOM VANITY WAS IN BEDROOM , FULL SIZE REFRIDGERATOR GREAT , BUT MADE ALOT OF NOISE, PAID FOR A 89.00 ROOM PER NIGHT TRIED PUTTING ME IN A 71.00 ROOM WITH NO OCEAN VIEW , DID CORRECT THE PROBLEM, BUT THE ROOM WE WERE PUT IN HAD MORE OF A VIEW OF THE OTHER GUESTS ROOMS ABSOLUTLY NO PRIVACY ! THE BREAKFAST BUFFEE WAS EXPENSIVE.

One night stay.Posted Sep 28, 2013
Pros: Comfortable beds, nice views. Outdoor pool areas were immaculately kept
Cons: Front desk staff needs to be aware of all relevant info (like whether or not guests can get towels poolside
Location: Location very, very south. Murrell's Inlet just a few miles away (very nice restaurants).
Check in was nicely done. The room was comfortable and the view was nice; we could see both a pool and the ocean from our balcony. Now for the negatives: We were on the third floor, and there was no elevator in our building. We navigated the stairs easily enough, enjoyed the view, and decided we should enjoy the sun and water. We called the front desk to inquire about whether or not towels were provided at the pool; the front desk personnel assured us that, yes, towels were provided. They weren't. Minor disappointment only because it necessitated a return to the room. The resort has many pools, but somehow has no hot tubs/outdoor jacuzzis!! How is that possible?? And while I'm sure that the absence of hot tubs could be noted under "amenities", just be aware of it when you choose this hotel. Obviously, if you expect that it will not be there, you will not be disappointed. Finally, even though we did perceive the room as clean and comfortable, we did encounter a huge roach (and I mean really huge!). We killed it, did not report it, and did not change rooms; that said, it did freak us out a little bit. All told, a very mediocre stay. I would consider staying here again, but only during the heat of summer. The absence of outdoor hot tubs was just too much to endure during the relatively cool autumn months.

great pierPosted Sep 27, 2013
Pros: The last hotel on the strip, it was good, all to yourselves.
Cons: The dinner, it's a buffet and they tend to run out of things at the end.
Location: Murrells Inlet, TONS of seafood, about 10 minutes away. The North Carolina Ship, in Wilmington,NC, about 1 hour away.
The maid service did a Great job, not only did she make sure we had enough coffee (regular), but made sure our room was given an extra touch. The pier was really good, most days they live music, how nice to sit and have a drink and enjoy music.

The comfort of this hotel being at the end of Blvd was great. You are away from the Blvd traffic and not on top of another hotel. Pool area was good. Beach was clean.

Pros: Right on the beach and close to activities. Great view from the room.
Cons: Should have towels available at the pool.
Overall not bad. Good location. Short drive to the boardwalk and shops. Pets welcome if small which is a plus. Great ocean view from room and nice pool right next to the beach.
