Okay for the price and the purpose

We came to SC to bring our daughter to school. We booked late and were unable to secure a room at the hotel that's closest to the university. This property was okay. The room we stayed in was marked as "non-smoking" but the odor of smoke was unmistakable. The clothing that I wore retained this odor when I returned home. For me, this is a deal breaker.

Good for an Overnight trip

Cons: The breakfast area needs to be bigger and away from the front desk. A little more of a selection for the breakfast would be nice.
Location: Close to Coastal Carolina University. Within 10 miles of Myrtle Beach. Not sure of what to do as I was there for a college visit.
Hotel was OK. Right on the main road for easy access. Room was very roomy and clean. Made for an enjoyable rest. Breakfast was another story. Only 2 tables and a packed hotel. You can only imagine. Area was packed with people checking out and eating. Not enough staff to refill the very few items they had. Finally gave up waiting. Would suggest going out to eat for breakfast. Would stay again but just for the room.

Never Again

I booked my stay at this hotel through Expedia at the last minute because I had to cover a business meeting. within 5 minutes of reserving the room, I learned that the meeting had been cancelled. At the time I made the reservation, I was aware that Expedia's cancellation policy was to leave it to the hotel's discretion and that this particular hotel did not allow cancellations, but I thought it was at least worth a shot. I immediately called the hotel and asked about the possibility of getting a refund. I was rudely informed that the hotel normally would cancel a room but they would not do so for me because I used Expedia. I was then told that this was my own punishment for using a third-party rather than booking directly through the hotel. To make matters worse, the hotel asked for my name so that they could book my room for another guest. Not only would they not refund my money that I had paid literally 5 minutes before, they were going to profit off of my loss by double-booking. I understand policies. If I was simply told, "I understand your circumstances, but we can't make exceptions from our policies," I would have been content. The way I was spoken to and the audacity to open my room up to re-book, just rubbed me the wrong way.

It was a very good experience. Had an OK breakfast. It was very clean and that's what i really like. Not too far from Myrtle Beach and good restaurants.

Did not feel it was worth the price!

Pros: The room was large enough that my family of four did not feel cramped. I also liked that the pool was salt treated instead of chlorine.
Cons: Better customer service as well as repairs to the rooms themselves.
Location: We went to the Ripley's Aquarium and to the beach. The drive was not bad only 25 minutes to Myrtle Beach.
When we checked in the lady at the front was borderline on being rude when I asked about early check in. We had problems with the key cards and we had to ask them to turn on the air an hour after our arrival. The room was not properly cleaned we found chips beside the end table while packing and there were spots on the ceiling that needed repainting. The bathroom needed repairs you could see cracks in the bathtub and paint peeling.

CALLED HOTEL TOLD THEM I WOULD BE LATE GETTING TO HOTEL. WHEN I ARRIVED , GAVE MY NAME ALL PAPER WORK WAS DONE. WAS IN AND OUT OF LOBBY IN MINUTES. ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN AND THE BED WAS VERY COMFORTABLE. WOOULD STAY AGAIN.
