Room needs deep cleaned carpet is not fit for the public . Lots of broken items in the room it's clear there is no peventive maintenance program in place. Not worth the money paid won't be back or recommend.

Nice hotel right on the beach

Pros: It was right on the beach and had a restaurant and bar. So you really didn't have to leave the hotel to go out to eat. Plus you have a small kitchen.
Cons: I wish they had beach chairs and umbrellas for guess with out having to pay for them.
Location: There are plenty of restaurants in the area and close by places to see.
Very nice staff they go out of there way to make your stay a good experience. Tiki Bar and restaurant was wonderful. Keith the bar tender is a great guy works really, hard their lucky to have him. Our room on ground floor was very big with a great view.Could use some updating.But we will definitely go back. only negative I have was the picture of the room expedia posted was not the room we where given not sure why?

Pros: Location, pool, restaraunt, close to my family
Cons: It is an older motel but my room was very clean. Keep up with maintaining is important!!
Location: Excellent! Beach is beautiful and for me it is close to my daughter and family. So many great little shops in Pawleys Island/great restaurants.
I was quite happy staying at the Litchfield Inn. It is an older hotel but the location is absolutely great. We had a family get together~~most staying with my daughter who lives very close but I opted for a motel room. We had several meals there and everything was delicious. Especially loved the grouper sandwich. The complimentary breakfast was also enjoyable and fresh every morning. Sincerely, Mona Beitz

No view. Bugs in room. Very musty. Sheets dirty

No crib. No cover above sheets for 2 nites. Bug in bathroom. Hardwood floor could not keep sand off floor. Just a old hotel. Not worth 300 per night.

Vacation

Pros: Great beach access and view. Friendly staff.
Cons: Change the pictures on the website to reveal the true looks or do the rooms to look like the site.
Location: We went to the BoardWalk in Myrtle, and shopped the shops. We did goto the Plantation ride on the Waccama River. It is waaay over rated....
I was a bit disappointed to check in to my room and not have it as exuberant as pictures that are posted when paying for a room. There wasn't anything special about the decor, just plain as an every day hotel. They wanted to move us for our 2-3 nights, because 'the view is nicer on the 7th floor of the tower.' I was happy with the first floor because I could walk out my sliding door and smoke, watch the waves, and if I wanted to, walk right down to the beach. The majority of the staff was wonderful. I did deal with one lady who looked at me and my tattoos and prejudged me. She was blown away that I was in the tower, higher priced rooms, that had the views. All the other staff was very helpful and pleasant. Even when I made continual calls for extra coffee or linens. I was not pleased that when housekeeping cleaned the room each day, they didn't bother to clean the shower. Over by the beach access by the tower, there is not a water spigot or outside shower to get the sand off before you go back into your room. End result: sand all over the shower floor.

Waste of our vacation

Pros: Oceanfront and very friendly staff
Cons: Rooms need to be updated. Beach needs to be cleaned daily.
Room door was crooked and did not close/lock properly. One day of our vacation was wasted trying to get help with the broken air conditioner that dripped water all over the floor. The refrigerator was frozen shut. After three days we gave up and went to another resort. We always enjoyed the litchfield inn in the past but this year was a disappointment. Never again!

Older charm grows on you

Pros: easy access to the beach; balcony
Cons: noisy fan in the AC unit; the balcony chairs were rusty (part of the shabbily chic flavor of Pawley's Island?)
Location: shopping; gardens; state park; Hammock Shops, dining
I wanted a moment to myself and I got it. High tide came close to dinner which was good since the beach is small during that tide. The low tide was gorgeous and created lots of beach. There was easy access to the beach and the grounds were well maintained. The room was comfortable and the bathroom updated. I enjoyed the oceanfront balcony during the rainstorm. The hotel speaks to a bygone era though it was updated to meet today's needs. The parking is limited at the tower but there is plenty of parking in their private lot across the street.
