Nice hotel, close to the beach with beautiful viewPosted May 26, 2015
Pros: As above and parking was available close by.
Cons: Perhaps the bathrooms could be updated.
Location: If you want a beach holiday, this is the place. There are other places to go nearby if you want a bit more life.
Very nice hotel, quietly situated on the gorgeous beach. Beautiful restaurant and cafe, food excellent. Good free breakfast included. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel on the beach.Posted May 15, 2015
Nothing extraordinary, but not bad either. Rooms could use some updating, and certainly the beds. Food in the bar area was surprisingly delish. Had a good little vacation.

Room / BreakfastPosted Apr 17, 2015
Pros: the staff
Cons: change/improve the breakfast and heck the unloading
Unloading of sinks and shower, onto the bathroom of the room, were very slow to flow Bad breakfast with nothing salty and the eggs very old.

The room had a path behind it and the window was covered with a see thru shade. The two 66 year old women staying there climbed on chairs and rigged a blanket covering. It was definitely a no frills room. Was told it was individually owned & each room different.

Sleep in the chairPosted Mar 11, 2015
I say sleep in the chair because the bed was horribly uncomfortable. However, the chair was awesome. we really did have a nice stay at this hotel though. We had an oceanfront tower room which I definitely would recommend. Beautiful view and nice balcony. This Beach is much less crowded than the neighboring Myrtle Beach. if you enjoy it quieter beach experience this is the place for you. The only drawback that I could see is not many restaurants very close to this hotel.

OK for overnight.Posted Feb 12, 2015 on Hotels.com
Pleasant overnight stay while on a long trip. Our room was comfortable, although a walkup 2nd story room. The room had no (!) available plug at the desk, but the office quite expeditiously provided a power bar. The "fine dining" restaurant in house had excellent food and ambience. The 'continental breakfast' was disappointing in comparison with many we have seen on our trip, although the room for eating it in was quite pleasant. We were not there for the beach access, but for the proximity to Huntington Beach State Park which is a prime birding site.

Beautiful interior. Awesome shower!Posted Feb 12, 2015 on Hotels.com
Older style hotel but interior of the rooms has been completely redone and are beautiful. It was a nice quiet get away from the hustle and bustle of the large Myrtle Beach hotels. Also the five showerheads were awesome!

Go Oceanfront!Posted Dec 20, 2014
Pros: View, bed, restaurant
Cons: Could be more up to date
Location: Great spot right on the ocean...must go to Brookgreen Gardens, the largest sculpture gardens in the world!
The oceanfront rooms with the screen porches are delightful...as long as you realize that this is a 70's era hotel with some, but not a whole lot, of updates. There's everything you really need in the room and it's clean and well kept...just a bit dated. Bed was firm and comfortable and as a bonus, there's an unexpectedly top notch restaurant with fine dining on the second floor.
