“Good Enough!”
The hotel didn't have any problem when we arrived early, we were able to check in right away. The hotel is located just down the street from the Aquarium and only 5 Minutes from "downtown" Mystic. The room was clean and the free breakfast was nice to have. Overall there was nothing special about the stay but for the price it was great. I wouldn't want to stay for more than a night or maybe two but it was clean and the bed was comfortable!
“Not the best”
Although the reception staff were very helpful, the breakfast room and the quality and choice of breakfast were abysmal, to the point that we chose not to eat breakfast at the hotel even though it was included in the price. The breakfast room and facilities needed replacing. The bedroom was adequate. If this is the standard expected at a Days Inn we will not be using or recommending them again.
“There was a cricket in our room”
There was a bug in our room. They moved us to another room and there was bugs there too ( not bed bugs).
“Great location, friendly service, can't beat it for the price!”
This hotel is your average Days Inn. It's not top of the line, and it's not the worst hotel you've ever been in. The front desk is friendly and accommodating. My room was definitely dated and a little worn, but clean and functional. If you're looking for a four star hotel at a 2 star price, this is NOT the place for you. Our room had a refrigerator and a microwave. The greatest thing about this hotel is the location. It's basically a block away from the aquarium and the Olde Mistick Shopping village. (60 shops, open 10-6 Sunday, 10-8 Mon-Sat). It's very convenient to Mystic Village (5 minutes). I will definitely stay here again! .
“Completely Icky”
Where do I start? Mildew aroma in room...damp carpets...someone else's hair in our tub...poor TV reception...ants on the breakfast bar...overhearing a staff person calling a guest an idiot. (Even if he might have been one, not good customer service)... Not to mention rags for towels, poor climate control and having to plunge the toilet ourselves. The management did change our room after we complained about the smell and tv reception. The new room was not significantly better, however. We just kept telling ourselves that we were in Mystic for the attractions...definitely NOT the hotel. Would not reccomend this hotel to anyone.
“Old hotel. Good to stay for One Night.”
We arrived late and stayed for one night with the family. The room was clean but old furnished. The breakfast was simple and the stuf was friendly.
“Perfectly content”
Stayed here for one night, had a wedding at the Aquarium around the corner. Easily accessible, comfortable and clean. Perfect for what we needed. Would stay again.
“Would happily go back”
We found our room spacious and clean, and thought there were a lot of young people in the hotel, no serious problems with noise. The desk staff was helpful, the pool was nice and well-maintained. The location is great for Mystic visitors. We plan to go back and use this hotel as a base for further excursions up the coast. Great value for the money.
“Would stay there again”
Very convenient location if you are visiting Mystic Seaport. The room was large and clean. Comp breakfast was good, waffles are always a hit! Didn't have a chance to check out the pool.
“It's just ok”
When we turned on the airconditioner there was a musty smell. The sink is outside of the bathroom- makes it inconvenient. The room is on the small side. Generally the hotel needs updating. Carpet in the room was worn. Beds were comfortable. Towels were old and thin. Good location and it will do if you're out most of the time. We booked this hotel because it had an outdoor pool. Turned out that the pool was closed for repairs and still not fixed when we left.
