“Mystic Adventure”
This hotel was clean and centered right around the attractions. I didn't need to communicate with the staff, we only stayed one night. Overall I would recommend this hotel to others. There are 2 restaurants located within the area of our hotel that served breakfast, lunch and dinner. Didn't have to go out on the main road to get to any of these places to eat. Price was reasonable for what you got. We were pleased with our stay and would recommend this hotel to others.
“Worst hotel in 20 years”
This Econo Lodge was only one step better than sleeping in my car, except my car was cleaner. My wife and I had to wear our shoes in the room because the rugs were wet from some type of plumbing problem. It also smelt of pet urine or whatever.
“Needs updating”
Need to update their linens both in the bed and bath areas. The bath towel was thread bare and you could see through it both nights. The mattress cover on the bed had torn areas. The bathroom needs to be updated with replacement of the rotted door jam and rusted tub area. The continental breakfast was sparse. We had to find another place for breakfast. On the positive note the night desk clerk steered us to a good restaurant for dinner and the location is great for visiting Mystic Seaport.
“It's OK”
It's OK....That's about all I can say about this hotel. It's convenient to everything Mystic has to offer, and right off the highway. It's walking distance (literally 15 seconds) to a diner and a Friendly's restaurant. It's a 2 minute walk to Old Mistick Village, an express Dunkin Donuts, and a Dominos. Don't expect modern or pretty or clean or even a friendly front desk clerk (don't get me wrong, he wasn't rude - he did his job, but doesn't know words/phrases like "please," "thank you," "enjoy your stay" or stuff like that). You get a microwave, fridge, and TV in your room. It's OK for an overnight and it's relatively cheap. It was the least expensive place I could book a few days before labor day weekend so it's convenient if you're looking to see Mystic on a holiday weekend and not looking to pay a lot.
“What we paid for”
This is basic lodging. Nice pool. Very close to aquarium.
“Disgusting...”
We get there and the front desk guy had a really loud tv on, smelled like he smoked a pack of cigarettes in there, and was not friendly at all. He barely said hello and didn't even look up to engage in a conversation. The room smelled like mold, there were stains on the carpets, walls, the bathroom had a brown ceiling tile from a leak, moldy shower curtain....ick. I was creeped out and just wanted to get out of there. Do they even have a facilities department? Nasty...no pride in their appearance at all.
“Dirty Not Recomended,”
Was not very impressed, towels had rust marks on them, shower was very dirty, one bed was broken in room 102, I was not impressed with the Stay the only thing i enjoyed was the location.
“WONDERFULL EXPERIENCE”
CANT WAIT TO GO AGAIN
“terrible!!”
there was a smell in the room,a turd in the toilet, and hair in the bathroom, and on the bed pillow!! never again!!
“Hardest beds we ever slept on in our lives.”
The bed was so hard we tossed and turned all night and could not sleep, The floor would have been softer, we should have used that instead. Ruined our trip because we were too tired to do anything the next day. Thank goodness it was a one-night get-away, we would not have stayed another night. It's not worth saving a few bucks if the one thing you really need, a bed to sleep on, is worthless. We'd never got back to this hotel. Even the chairs at the pool were hard plastic with no cushions and you didn't want to sit in them for long.
