good value basic room

Pros: Friendly staff and easy to find location.
This Econo Lodge is good value. It is not a resort, just a motel. Convenient location to the highway and close to a couple of restaurants (walking distance). The staff were helpful and pleasant at check-in and when I required directions. The rooms are were basic, but clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was not as elaborate as more expensive hotels, but was adequate considering I was going to be just sitting in the car for another day. I would be happy to stay there again if I were to travel in that direction.

Paid for the whole weekend in advance. The hotel was a disappointment. Moved to another hotel the next day even though the room was fully paid for. The beds should be removed and updated. We had a single queen size bed that looked and felt like it was a cheap date. This is the first Econo Lodge that I have seen like this.

Only one complaint, luke warm water in the shower. Kind of a big one. Aside from that it was a very pleasant stay. Clean and accommodating.

The lobby was very old & in desperate need of an update. Our room had a weird odor to it. The bath towels were as thin as a napkins. We asked the housekeeper who was in the next room over for extra towels she told us we had to go to the front desk. Her cart was full of towels. My husband said isn't that your job and she gave him the extra towels with an attitude!! I will never stay or refer anyone to this hotel.

The room was musty and my clothes felt damp. The towels were rough and thin and the bath towel could pass for a hand towel. They did have a continental breakfast which was okay and it was near Mystic Seaport though I didn't feel this property was worth the money. I would not recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel close to Olde Mystic Village

Very convenient, clean place to stay. It is close to everything. Free breakfast was a nice perk. New carpets also made rooms much better.

Room not very clean. Towels stain, rug and chairs stained. Good just if need a place to sleep and be close to attractions.

2 DAY MIDWEEK GETAWAY

Pros: location ,close to shopping, good food, right off highway,close to many attractions and smack in between ct 2 casino
Cons: nothing
Location: shopping, good food and beaches
We had a few days to getaway and we found this hotel again at a very reasonable rate and it is in an excellent location
