“Friendly staff, clean and comfortable facility”

Excellent stay at Hilton Garden Inn Groton, easy to get to surrounding attractions. Staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and comfortable. Couldn't have asked for more. Also provide a shuttle service for a small fee to nearby casinos.

“Fundamentally Solid”

Solid hotel with good service. Free wireless internet is a nice plus. Rooms are comfortable but nothing fancy. Overall, a decent place for a stay in this neck of the woods.

“Nice hotel”

The hotel appeared to have been recently refurbished. The place was clean and the bed was comfortable. Our only complaint was the quality of the food at breakfast.

“Mystic area weekend”

We stayed at the Groton Hilton Garden Inn over Labor Day weekend. It was a short ride to Mystic and the casinos, and there was a fine walking path at the Bluff nearby. The hotel staff was very helpful, especially Greta in the restaurant. The room was very comfortable, the fitness center had top-notch equipment, and the hot tub was relaxing (though it could have been hotter). The hotel is located on a business strip with stores and restaurants nearby. All in all, a great place to access Mohegan Sun, Mystic, and other nearby sites.

“Better than it Looks”

Nothing special from the outside, but a quality hotel inside. We were very impressed with the size and comfort of the room. Our only complaint was that we had requested that down/feathers be removed due to an allergy, and this was not done. However, when we requested it again after we got to the room, someone was there within 15 minutes. Best hotel off of that exit.

“Expense not worth the stay”

This hotel looked very nice, decor was updated, and for the most part the room was clean. There were a few areas in the room that could have used some attention, the computer chair had inches of dust and the comforter was extremely lumpy. Walls were very thin, you could hear everything in the hallway. Check out was supposed to be at 11:00 a.m. yet the maid was knocking at the door at 8:00 a.m. looking to clean the room. For the price of the room I felt the value was lacking. I could have easily stayed elsewhere and received better service, same quality of room, stayed until check out time, had a continental breakfast with compliments of that hotel for a lesser price. Hotel boasted express check out yet it was never delivered... so still needed to wait at the front desk for someone to come out so I could review my bill before leaving.
