Disgraceful treatment of staff by other staff

Posted Aug 27, 2014
Don't stay here. They gave us a smoking room even though I'm allergic. Nice front office staff who tried to assist belittled by snooty manager. Such behaviour always inexcusable, but particularly repugnant with ferguson, mo problems at same time.

Great room for a great price

Location: Anything in Mystic is a 5-10 minute drive!
This Hilton Garden Inn was very nice, very clean and the staff was very friendly. It is not as close to Mystic as some other hotels, but I feel that we got such a great price that it was well worth it. It was only 2 exits away from all the sites in Mystic on 95 (5 minute drive at most) or maybe a 10 minute drive taking the scenic roads. We drove to Mystic from NY so we weren't really looking to be within walking distance anyway. The hotel was clean and comfortable.

Very easy to get to and a quiet location. Easy access to Newport, Mystic, New London activities. Nice little restaurant, nice little pool. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. All for a reasonable price for the location and season!

Wanted to stay in mystic

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Itchy sheets very heavy doors that my child almost got slammed in. Air conditioning unit fan made horrible lots sounds all night. Car alarm sounded at 5 am for half hour. And then breakfast staff was rude and acted like we were annoying them to get a table. We we're mislead as hotel says mystic/Groton. When it should just say Groton as you're 10 Minutes down 95 to mystic seaport. Never stay here again

Good but needs a little help

Posted Jul 29, 2014
My overall stay was good, however the swimming pool could have had a little more chlorine and the pancakes and omelettes need a little help. The staff in very friendly and attentive to it's customers needs.

Close to the Mystic, CT attractions

Posted Jul 24, 2014
Pros: The decor was nice, the staff friendly.
Cons: The facilities, in our experience, might need some updating.
Location: Mystic Aquarium, Mystic Seaport, Downtown Mystic. Great place for breakfast just down the road is Someplace In Time.
Our room was nice and clean. We were traveling with our two kids, ages 5 and 7, and got the king suite. After a long day of being a tourist, we went back to our room and found out the tv in the living room area did not work and that the pull out sofa bed was partially broken. We called the front desk who sent someone up to check it out. After this guy spent 45 mins basically unplugging and plugging in the tv, he left saying he would be right back. After another 1/2 hour, we called the front desk and said forget it for tonight. We propped up the sofa bed with the sofa cushions. The next day the tv and sofa bed was fixed/replaced. The pool was way to warm and we found clumps of hair floating in the water. It was not our best Hilton experience.

Comfortable and clean; had everything we needed.

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Decor, size of beds, fridge in room, coffee and refreshments in the front lobby.
Cons: Shower pressure and quicker service at front desk.
Location: Foxwoods and Mystic Sea Port
We had a very pleasant experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable, stylish and overall had everything we needed, including a fridge in our room. If I had to fix something, it would be the shower pressure; wasn't very strong. Also, we had to wait a while at the front desk, both checking in and out because they were a bit short on staff. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this hotel.
