“Really nice for the money!”

I booked this room at the last minute during a recent trip. The hotel was great, though a little hard to find the first time. The desk staff gave clear directions, and after that, no problem. I would stay here again without a question.

“Pleasant Find”

From the outside it looked like a typical motel and inside the lobby, hallways and furniture in our room was very plain. BUT the level of cleanliness in our room was second to none. Even the corners in the bathroom were spotless. The staff was friendly and courteous. The parking lot was well lit with ample spaces. Security in the form of cameras and electonic entry was present. The continental breastfast was simple but tastier than many we've experienced. My only criticism is that people staying on the first floor don't have much privacy. The large windows of the room let anyone walking in the parking lot look in. There are heavy drapes on the windows but no curtins. Also, headlights of cars leaving or parking will shine into the rooms. Fortunately, we had a second floor room and so privacy was not an issue for us. We would definitely consider staying there again.(But only if we can get another room on the second floor.)

“Overnight Casino Trip”

My wife and I stayed here for an overnight Casino trip. It was the closest reasonably priced hotel. Although a little out of the way, the staff was very helpful. The room was spacious and clean. The surrounding grounda could have used some maintenance. We would definitely return.

“Good Hotel”

This is a nice hotel, but the location is a bit hidden. Therefore, you need to drive to get to most restaurants.

“HoJoGro”

Needs updating. Furniture seems like it's from the 80's. Staying here in the July ~ A/C in room worked well; but halls,lobby and breakfast room were much too warm. Breakfast room was too small to handle weekend guests. I'd suggest break down wall and make it equivalent to 2 rooms.

“A great choice”

I didn't really know what to expect, but I stayed in the business king room at this hotel and it was great. We had a big bed (a little low for me, but I am tall), a couch, a desk and a table! There was still more than enough room to walk around. The microwave and fridge really helped out. The sink was outside of the bathroom, which was nice when you needed it and someone else was in the bathroom, but could be a bit annoying if you are used to a sink in the bathroom. Good distance from Mystic - we were able to go over to Mystic Pizza for takeout and it was still warm when we got back to the room. There were a ton of places to eat and things to do nearby. Over all, I had a great experience.

“Would go back.”

A little out of the way,and no elevator.But for the price and comfort will return.

“Disappointed”

The hotel in Groton is not appealing . We booked a non-smoking room, but got a smoking room first. The second room seemed to be non-smoking, but there were signs of smoking from the past.

“Don't check in early”

A bit disappointing to arrive for a wedding which was an hour away and be charged $30 for early check in. We gave them an hour to prepare the room but were charged for coming early. Most hotels do not have such a late check in time (3:00 pm)

“Indifferent”

For the money, the hotel itself was not bad. It's very out of the way of the casino's which is what we were there for. But there was plenty around as far as food and stores. The one positive of the longer drive was doing other activities we wouldn't have known about had we stayed closer.
