Great hotel!

“aaahhhhh...nice weekend vacation”

This Marriott is really made for business, which makes it perfect for a weekend getaway. We asked for a refrigerator in our room and we were upgraded to the concierge floor. The concierge floor lounge is closed during the weekend, but it really didn't matter. The room is large and comfortable. It passed my bathroom test: clean everything, hot water on demand, nice amenities. It also passed my ceiling test...one of the hallmarks of a good hotel is that the ceiling is nicely finished, none of those tiles that look like a badly finished basement. The staff was very helpful, so helpful, in fact, that we wanted to end the conversation and get on the way. We had put out the "do not disturb sign," and on Saturday evening, right before the housekeepers go off duty, we got a call from housekeeping giving us one last chance to have the room made up. I don't know if there are great parents all around or the hotel has good soundproofing, but across the hall was a family with a baby and toddler. We heard them in the hall, but never heard them once they entered their room. We would definitely go back.

I loved the pool jacuzzi room!! I got to relax yet still see the kids to ensure there saftey!! Room was very nice....employers were polite and thougthful!!

When we couldn't find any of our choices available in Mystic we tried the Marriott in Groton loved the hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable, restaurant/bar food and drink quality was exceptional as well as the Spa. The only disappointment was the pool which was overused. The water was cloudy and it had a less than appealing smell of clorine and mildew but all in all, a great place to stay!

The Marriott Mystic Hotel was fantastic, excellent staff very helpfull and friendly, they couldn't have done more for my family which included an older gentleman, my six year old son 14 week old baby girl, myself and my husband. Would definatly go back and would recommend to everyone.

“Marriott Groton is excellent!”

My husband and I, his parents and our two kids (5 & 2 year olds) stayed for four nights at the Marriott in Groton, CT. On the first night, decided to eat at the hotel and weren't sure if the Octagon was family friendly. I asked the restaurant manager and he was very accomodating, sitting us early and the service was excellent. Overall, we were impressed by the friendly and helpful staff. I thought a nice touch was the bowl of fresh apples at check-in. The pool was clean, I enjoyed a massage at the Elizabeth Arden spa and there was a Starbucks on site. We'll definitely be back!

The hotel was great. It had all the amenities, friendly staff, very nice, comfortable rooms. The location was convenient to Mystic and the Casinos. I would stay there again.
