Like a Truck Stop Motel - But more expensivePosted Oct 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel was in a terrible state during our stay. No hot water, pool closed, well understaffed and our rooms were located in a wing that was either closed prior to our arrival or one that should be closed asap. This hotel is a far cry from anything you should expect from the Quality chain or anything in this price range. Hotels.com should remove it from the site until it is repaired and updated.

Mystic's Haunted HotelPosted Oct 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
It appeared that the wing we were located in was opened for the express purpose of increasing capacity during a busy weekend. Much of the hotel was closed/under renovation and our two rooms should have been as well. Ceiling falling down, water damage to walls and floors, the hallway and common areas were in poor shape. The pool and hot water were not functioning the entire stay, the free breakfast consisted of cereal, bread, coffee and a jug of milk on the counter. It is my understanding the hotel was in receivership and should be removed from the Hotels.com site ASAP. When informed of the state Hotels.com was quick to resolve the issue where the hotel would not.

Great considering it's in foreclosurePosted Oct 28, 2014
Pros: The staff was amazing and kind especially since Expedia overbooked the hotel. The breakfast was great and they added extra items for our group.
Cons: Hotel needs updating but it's closed so I don't that this part is relevant.
Location: Location was great! I went to Mystic Village, the Mystic Aquarium, other shopping and several restaurants including the famous Mystic Pizza.
I went there for a conference and the staff was amazing and bent over backwards to make everyone in our group happy. Our first room smell a bit of mildew so the staff gave us our pick of five different rooms so we ended up with a great room. They were running on a skeleton crew since the hotel was closing on Monday, Oct 27 after the check out so this made it even more impressive. The housekeeping staff forgot to leave us wash cloth one day but we made due. The food at the breakfast was plentiful and tasty We had a bit of an issue that some others have mentioned about the hot water but someone in our group figured out just where to put the dial and then we were fine. The staff also offered to show us how to work the hot water but by then a lot of us had gotten the hang of it or taken cold showers.

so soPosted Oct 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
Hot water barely worked in shower. Drain in tub was not working. Cold water in bathroom sink was stripped. You had to keep turning it and then it would come out full blast wetting your clothes. Outlets had shorts in them. So only could use 1 lamp at a time or microwave or plug in fridge. Bed was ok not the best. Overall room was clean and spacious. Staff wasn't very pleasant. My husband got rudely asked why he was lobby getting coffee at 2 am. He told staff he was a guest and the staff member kept harassing him until he showed her his room key. Then she was all apologies and felt bad. I felt that was unacceptable. Never will stay again

close to mystic villagePosted Oct 19, 2014
Pros: close to mystic village and only 20 minutes to Mohegan Sun.
Cons: the room updates as well as making sure there are enough basic supplies.....toilet paper, bar of soap and enough towels for each guest.
Location: mystic shopping village, aquarium and nearby casinos
The hotel room did not have enough towels for all of us and I had to go to the front desk to ask for a bar of soap for the sink as well as a roll of toilet paper. The bathroom counter needed to be replaced as well as the room could use to be updated.

Good place for a nightPosted Oct 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
Our section of the hotel, located across the courtyard was undergoing renovations. Room was musty and bleach (?) stains on carpet. This was a last minute booking for a decent price. Breakfast options were decent and pool/sauna area was very nice.
