Nice Inn many accommodations'

Posted Jul 23, 2014
When we registered we were greeted warmly by a very friendly gentleman who was well informed about the area of Mystic. The Inn has a nice hotel pool, bicycles, canoes, and kayaks available free of charge. The Restaurant seemed nice clean and reasonable but we were only there for a short stay and didn't eat there. It was a close walk to the Village of Mystic about 10mins or .5 of a mile.

Quaint hotel in Mystic

Posted Jul 22, 2014
The hotel staff were very friendly when checking in. Our room felt clean and the beds were comfortable. Went to the restaurant onsite and the service was poor and food quality wasn't great. Ordered a brick oven pizza for an appetizer and the entire perimeter was black/burnt and one slice was missing topping all together. Took 10 minutes for waitress to come back with drinks only to hear that what we had ordered wasn't available (green apple martini). Overall the hotel was a nice stay and minutes from downtown and other restaurants.

Nice location, quiet, exceptional staff

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: quiet, location
my daughters and I stayed here over 4th/July weekend. The staff was wonderful. Hotel was dated but they are undergoing renovations. The location was great. We used the bikes that they have for a $10 deposit each (you get your deposit back when you return the bikes or can donate the deposit to the bike fund). We rode in the am thru town (before heavy traffic) and had a scenic ride along Mystic river. The hotel was very quiet and clean. We ate at the restaurant for breakfast. Beautiful views from the deck.

A work in progress

Pros: Staff, location, view.
Cons: Construction finished.
Location: Mystic Seaport, Stonington
Some minor problems (broken lamp, no available bottle opener) were promptly seen to by friendly helpful staff.

Improving, but still a way to go!

Posted May 28, 2014
Pros: The view across the water from our room
Cons: The restaurant was closed for renovation during our stay, so there was no food onsite whatsoever. The beds were too soft and the pillows were cheap.
Location: It's about a 15 minute walk to downtown Mystic and the bridge area.
I booked a room in this "landmark" hotel in Mystic, CT at the last minute for a 3-night family Memorial Day Weekend mini vacation. It recently changed management, and there is a lot of renovation taking place -- it was obviously a fairly grand venue at one point that the previous management allowed to slip into disrepair. The new management is obviously working hard to restore it to its former glory (we saw landscaper gardeners at work every day), but they still have a way to go -- most notably, the Flood Tide restaurant and bar is still closed for renovation. Overall, I'm fairly happy with the hotel, although at $205 per night plus tax pre-renovation it was fairly expensive.
