Posted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: Pool for sure was a big Plus being in the river and having the canoes and boat where a very enjoyable way to spend a few hours....
Cons: The rooms on the ground - level and the alley ways had a misty smell....
Wonderful location, nice walk down to town.... and a great restaurant right on the hotel rounds too. With a live band Sat night that was so much fun. Just a really nice place to stay, staff could not of been friendlier... Must have A room with a balcony... over looking the river!!!!

Nice hotel with good location

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: Expedia search
Cons: Cleanliness of the link to the lower yard
Location: Downtown Mystic is a great place to spend time - very nice local folks. We went to Stonington, Watch Hill, the Seaport, and Mystick Village.
Nice hotel with good facilities. Family friendly. We used the kayaks; there's also a tennis court, pool, and bikes to borrow. Friendly staff. Interesting old house on the hill. Walking distance to downtown Mystic, and close to Stonington and RI beaches. Discovered the pleasant small village of Noank - had a great meal at Fords.

Expected more, decent stay but could use some work

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: Beautiful location and property. Restaurant was lovely and upscale. Staff overall was very nice and welcoming.
Cons: Clean the carpets, brighten the rooms, put in a charging station for electronics.
Location: Our favorite was walking along the Mystic harbor - very quaint. Nice playground in the area there also. Kids loved watching drawbridge.
First, the good - beautiful location and property. Restaurant was lovely and upscale. The rooms however, at least the one we were in, I was disappointed with. We stayed in a room which had "recently been renovated" which shocked me. The carpets were filthy, my two kids' bottoms of feet were brown after walking around the room for a little while. The room was dark and dreary. Because we were on the ground floor, for privacy we had to keep the one small window closed. When we arrived, we asked if we could use a washer/dryer to wash a car seat (my child had gotten sick on the drive up) - so after a long drive, we were told to go to town (on a Sunday afternoon) and find a Laundromat. Um, thanks. We then went to eat at the restaurant and mentioned our situation to a server, who immediately contacted the manager. We were then given use of the inn's ONE washer on site. It was fine, but I feel like we should've been given that courtesy at the very beginning. Also it was hard to find an outlet to use to charge our devices, in this day and age, would be nice if the desk had a little charging station. They just need to put a little more thought into the services - doesn't cost much but will go a long way.

Nice hotel with great views if the harbor

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: The view was great especially from the top of the hill, relaxing in the adirondack chairs.
Location: There are great beaches nearby, shopping at outlets if that is your thing, and many cute towns to visit . Great places to view a beautiful sunset.
We had a very relaxing experience . The town of Mystic is quaint and quiet. Don't forget to grab a slice of pizza from the famous Mystic Pizza restaurant while watching the draw bridge.

Amazing property minutes to Historic Downtown area

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: Location, and plenty of outdoor quiet, private places to sit and relax anywhere on the property with beautiful views of the Harbor.
Cons: The Mansion rooms do need a bit of updating which they are working on, and I feel for the price that a breakfast should be included.
Location: The Inn is 5 minute walk to historic downtown - no need to drive and look for parking. Close to Mystic Seaport, Olde Mystic Village, great restaurants
Inn at Mystic is on an amazing piece of property with beautiful formal, rock, and water gardens along with tennis court, outdoor pool and dock with kayaks/canoes for use in the Pequotsepos Cove. The Inn at Mystic does consists of a Motor Lodge and a Mansion. When we booked on line we thought we were getting a room in the Mansion. When we checked for availability we were directed to a site with the room picture (showing a Mansion room) and price. Upon arrival we found out that we were booked at the Motor Lodge, and after explaining the situation to the front desk they immediately changed our room to the Mansion as requested at no extra cost. The Mansion does need a little updating but was a lovely place to stay -- large airy room and balcony with beautiful view of the harbor. Great location, friendly and accommodating staff, and relaxing atmosphere with beautifully maintained grounds. Had a great stay and would recommend it to family and friends.

Charming old resort on the water

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: All the amenities, secluded location. Friendly staff. Near Amtrak depot.
Cons: A few things seemed a little dated, like the carpeting and mirrors.
Location: It's close enough to the seaport, but secluded enough to be away from the crowds. Sea Swirl stand on property edge had the best cod sandwich ever.
It has a pool, a very good restaurant, canopy beds, and in room Jacuzzi and canopy beds at reasonable rates. It's on a large property near the Mystic Seaport. Where else are you going to get those amenities at their rates? I plan to go back again

Nice Inn many accommodations'

Posted Jul 23, 2014
When we registered we were greeted warmly by a very friendly gentleman who was well informed about the area of Mystic. The Inn has a nice hotel pool, bicycles, canoes, and kayaks available free of charge. The Restaurant seemed nice clean and reasonable but we were only there for a short stay and didn't eat there. It was a close walk to the Village of Mystic about 10mins or .5 of a mile.

Quaint hotel in Mystic

Posted Jul 22, 2014
The hotel staff were very friendly when checking in. Our room felt clean and the beds were comfortable. Went to the restaurant onsite and the service was poor and food quality wasn't great. Ordered a brick oven pizza for an appetizer and the entire perimeter was black/burnt and one slice was missing topping all together. Took 10 minutes for waitress to come back with drinks only to hear that what we had ordered wasn't available (green apple martini). Overall the hotel was a nice stay and minutes from downtown and other restaurants.

Nice location, quiet, exceptional staff

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: quiet, location
my daughters and I stayed here over 4th/July weekend. The staff was wonderful. Hotel was dated but they are undergoing renovations. The location was great. We used the bikes that they have for a $10 deposit each (you get your deposit back when you return the bikes or can donate the deposit to the bike fund). We rode in the am thru town (before heavy traffic) and had a scenic ride along Mystic river. The hotel was very quiet and clean. We ate at the restaurant for breakfast. Beautiful views from the deck.
