Great relaxing environment

Posted Sep 5, 2014
Pros: Relaxing, comfortable feel
Cons: Definitely could use some updates - carpet
Pretty country inn with lots of extras - tea in the afternoon, wine tasting etc. Yet very close to Mohegan Sun for some evening entertainment. Best of both worlds!

Spend your money else where.

Posted Aug 31, 2014
First off, we have been to this spa before and had a good time. This time we decided to spend the extra money on a villa instead of a normal room. When we arrived they said they didn't have one available and I reserved this weeks in advance. They wanted to down grade us to a normal room at the hotel. This was just the beginning. 30 seconds later the gentleman helping us check in suddenly found and available villa, how convenient. As we entered the villa we were less than pleased. It looked more like a construction zone than a resort. There was unpainted surfaces, exposed dry wall and joint compound. The furniture layout was such that you couldn't close the bedroom door and the room had a fixed temperature control set at 70 degrees and it was very humid in the villa. We had to open the door just to cool it off and remove the humidity. With all the self added gratuity and spa fees incorporated into the bill, I expected far more in our spa services as well. We received what was supposed to be deep tissue massages and received nothing more then a Swedish massage from a woman with overly long finger nails which dug in Ou skin. This deep tissue massage was 150 bucks and it wasn't worth half that. Given this experience, we will not be returning to the Spa at the Norwich Inn. One of the worst experiences we have ever had and I also mentioned this to management with no reply. Not even any compensation of any kind. Stay away from this place and go somewhere they actually care.

We were very disappointed with the accommodations.

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: It was very gracious, the dining facilities and spa were lovely and it had a relaxing appeal.
Cons: Painting and repairing the villa we were assigned and a redo of the interior. We were told that they were in the midst of refurbishing....
Location: We had had concert tickets at the Mohegan Sun
The exterior was absolutely horrendous. The interior was clean the layout lovely but the upholstery was greatly lacking. We were unable to control the temperature of the room.

Weekend stay at Norwich

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: Clean, large, very comfortable.
Cons: The little balcony did not have chairs; only a small plastic table was provided.
Location: We stayed within the property only. The landscaping was beautiful and lounge chairs were provided on the lawns, near waterfalls, flowers, trees.
My friend and I stayed at one of the villas. It was very comfortable, nice furniture, very clean. Have suggested that they have more convenient, legible signage to the rooms as we rode around for a while to find ours, which was out of the way and the number was not visible from the road.

Beautiful place but very quiet (if you like that sort of thing) and pricey. However, I would recommend the hot stone massage.

Pros: Keningston restaurant was wonderful.. All food services were excellent. General Manager was very nice and accomodating
Cons: wine time for the money you are spending there , they certainly could give you a second sip.
Location: we enjoyed Mohegan sun
Spa area was to noisy, cell phones everywhere, I remember silence and peacefulness last time I was there.

We love staying at the Norwich Inn when we go to concerts at Foxwoods or Mohegan. The Inn is beautiful, staff excellent, rooms are comfortable. We especially love going to the Spa after the event!

Girls weekend

Posted Apr 1, 2014
Pros: Everything!!! The spa was wonderful. You could spend a whole day there. And I love that you never had to leave the hotel. Everything was connected
Location: All I know is that Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods is there. I like to gamble so it was perfect.
So I went with my sister for a relaxing weekend and that is exactly what we got. The hotel is great, everyone very nice. The spa is wonderful!! We got some treatments done and loved it. I wish the weather was better because I hear the grounds are beautiful but we didnt get out there. It was nice that is was so close to the casinos so we went and had dinner there and did some gambling at night. The resturant and pub dont have many choices in the food department. The rooms were very clean, I wish maybe a little bigger. We had a queen bed room and there was not much room to move around, but the bed was sooooo comfy. And I am super picky about beds because I have a horrible back. I slept like a baby!! Clean, nice, great service. It is a great girls weekend. Dont think I would bring my husband there but I did see a handful of men. But overall it was all women. This is not a place for children!!!! They can not do anything and they are not allowed in the spa area!!! Dont bring them
