Great night stayPosted Sep 23, 2013
Location: Fabulous adventures at Myvatn lake, Dumoborgir and climbing the crater
There are so many interesting things to do in the Myvatn area that a comfortable hotel like this is a god-send

A little overpriced but great staff.Posted Aug 13, 2013
The bathroom was a bit dated and the floor got very wet, however I think this one of the better places to stay in Myvatn. The restaurant dinner was quite good. The staff were very helpful and professional.

Nice and QuietPosted Jul 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
Our stay was very enjoyable: the room was comfortable, even a little too hot but we could not adjust the heating system. That said, it was better than being too cold. The view gave out to a lava field and faced the cemetery behind the church. We would have preferred a different view than a cemetery but we were not that much bothered by that since we could also enjoy the view of the lava field.

Nice for overnight stayPosted Jul 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the adjacent building. The room was clean and comfortable although the place could use a bit of a refresh. The carpet looked a bit worn. There was no wi-fi in our building but it was available in the lobby and eating area. That was a little disappointing since I was counting on the wi-fi. The location of the hotel is excellent - right on the main road but set back enough to be private.

Great base for seeing MyvatnPosted Jul 6, 2013
Pros: Clean and warm with friendly staff and good food.
We stayed at at this hotel for 6 nights as a base for bird-watching and seeing the fantastic volcanic features at and around the Lake Myvatn area. We could not have asked for better accommodation. The bedroom was warm, comfortable and just the right size. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant provided wonderful meals - breakfast had just about anything you might want and evening meals were excellent. The adjoining Bistro also provided a cheaper, but equally good, venue for an evening meal. Overall this hotel is thoroughly recommended - and we also had good weather as well!

Great location, comfortable stayPosted Jun 16, 2013
Pros: It was very quiet. They also had the darkest curtains I found anywhere in iceland. It was nice to not have to wear my sleep mask for one night.
Cons: Nothing, I really liked this hotel.
Location: Myvatn Nature Baths are 5 minutes away. Krafla is about 20 minutes away.
This hotel was a great value. It was centrally located to all the sites around Myvatn making sight seeing very easy. At check in the lady at the front desk made several recomendations on places to see, giving me a nice map. My room was very clean and comfortable. The wifi was fast with a strong signal. Breakfast had a large variety of offerings, trying to please the international crowd. They had traditional American bacon and eggs, the British beans and bacon, plus the traditional scandanavian fare that you see all over iceland.

Warm, friendly with a great locationPosted Jun 11, 2013
We were a bit cautious after having read a review in the Lonely Planet guide book, but found the hotel to be wonderful. The staff were genuinely warm and friendly, even though busy, and helped in every way they could. The rooms were superb, although, as with everywhere else in Iceland, there is only one pillow each. There is a great bistro attached to the hotel, which serves less formal dinners, and is highly recommended. Breakfast at the hotel is well organised and excellent. The location is brilliant for everytrhing in the area. Recommended without hesitation.

Resort style hotel in exquisite locationPosted Jun 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel exceeded our expectations. Few places worldwide could boast a better view. The room was very comfortable and breakfast was the best we had anywhere.
