Ask for Ram!Posted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: The hotel is spacious and in a quiet location with wonderful views across the racecourse and Dubai. Interesting architecture. Beautiful pool. Ram!
Cons: Accuracy of information from Expedia.
Location: Racecourse location. Quiet outside of racing season. Taxi transfers needed to most other facilities and there is also a courtesy bus timetable.
The Meydan Hotel is large and quite imposing in a quiet spot with views across Dubai. Initially it felt too large to be welcoming and there were a few small problems with the booking itself. Not the fault of the hotel. However after a very short time my son and I met Ram. He works with the concierge and has been at the hotel for a few years. Ram is the most delightful, hospitable and friendly person in the hotel industry that I have ever met. He went out of his way to make us welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The rooftop pool is beautiful, with magnificent views across the racecourse and beyond, the lifeguards and bar staff are on hand to ensure you feel relaxed. The room was lovely although we had single beds when we had booked two double beds. The hotel do not have double beds in twin rooms so Expedia need to correct this as it is misleading. Upon arrival the room had a damp smell but that cleared very quickly with the air conditioning on so possibly the balcony doors had been left open letting in the humidity. The breakfast was very nice with a good choice of different types of hot and cold food. By the end of the stay I could truly say that I would return. A thank you to all at the hotel with a special thank you to Ram.

A great hotel with excellent servicePosted May 27, 2015
Hotel staff was wonderful. Breakfast was an opulent spread of goodies. Rooms were large and comfortable. Not on the main strip of hotels buts a short drive and cheap drive from Dubai attractions

Très bel hôtel modernePosted May 24, 2015

Beautiful hotel, great staff, food options, & roomPosted May 20, 2015
Loved our stay at Meydan, would definitely return, no faults really to be found, although a cold water fountain at pool area would have been helpful. Please note free shuttle bus available to Malls and beach, a taxi ride would be needed to get to JBR(approx 50aed/20mins away subject to trafficel if you want more choice of dining, coffee bars, ice cream parlours and shops.

Pure LuxuryPosted May 19, 2015
Location: Apart from the racing, I believe there were tennis courts, a golf course. There is a wonderful infinity pool on the roof with bar seating in the pool.
From the moment I arrived I was given a first class welcome from reception to bellboys. When I got to my room on the ninth floor which was reached by silent beautiful glass elevators, I was overwhelmed by the spaciousness and the view. There was so much to see in the room and enormous balcony that I didn't think I would get a chance to see anything else and everything worked perfectly from the electronically controlled drapes to the gloriously spacious bathroom with separate glass enclosures for shower and wc. There's so much more I could say about this room but there are so many other exciting things to see - the foyer stretches for the entire length of the hotel - there is just too many amazing things - outdoor seating areas and restaurants are perfectly decorated in ultra modern couches and chairs. The main bar has the larges cluster chandelier I have ever seen and not forgetting the amazing racecourse of which every balcony had a view and the beds were beyond heavenly.

Sehr hübsches Hotel, ruhigPosted May 18, 2015
Pros: Lobby & Zimmer
Cons: Bessere Speisekarte
Insbesondere d. Premium Restaurant extrem Teuer.

10 minute taxi to burj Khalifa but the hotel offers a shuttle service to the malls and different areas. Lovely staff and breakfast. Rooms have everything needed.

Great Value and wonderful viewPosted Apr 27, 2015
Location: The Meydon is close to the Dubai mall but it is a little confusing driving there. Google Map gives bad directions and sends you on a wild goose chase
loved the infinity pool and view of the city sky line. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Balconies are very nice when not too hot. large bathroom and great shower. Really had a good time at the Cube Sports bar. Free pool, and table shuttle board - good food.
