"Sooooo handy to airport. "
We stayed at Raffles for one night when we arrived in Fiji and then the night before we left. The location was fabulous - so close to the airport with very prompt complimentary shuttle to and from. Very clean rooms and the grounds are divine - very well maintained and a pleasure to look at. Beautiful large pool area and a smaller pool near dining area, good for kids.

Wow.....we really love this property. The staff couldn't be nicer or more accomodating! We stayed here our first 3 days and went to the coral coast and decided to come back! It is laid back with great service and beautiful grounds. They are constantly improving everything! Quiet....clean.....great food and entertainment every nite! Will stay here again before we fly out!

"Good value for money with the friendliest staff"
The hotel is well away from the beaches of Denerau (which are not very nice anyway) and just five minutes from the airport. Nadi town is about 8kms away ($1 on the white bus) and Port Denerau 12kms ($1 on the yellow bus from Nadi). Set in nice gardens the hotel is quiet with a good pool, good gym and tennis courts. It is used by aircrew and there were no children there during our stay - a plus as far as I'm concerned! The restaurant and bar are good and the pizza kitchen/oven by the pool and its lovely lady pizza cook turn out delicious pizzas. The rooms are a little dated but spotlessly clean and comfortable. There is some renovation going on at present which in no way inconveniences guests and means the standard of rooms will be improving. WiFi is a little pricey and a bit slow but since I don't go on holiday with either a computer or smart phone I, personally, couldn't care less. Finally the staff, they are lovely, so welcoming, friendly and kind they are a credit to the hotel.

"Nadi overnight or afternoon convenience!"
No need for Denerau on short layovers. Just WALK 100 meters or so. Too easy to look anywhere else. Courteous and helpful staff.

"Best Hotel in Nadi area (excluding Denerau island)"
Novatel Nadi is located near the International airport and is away from the hustle and noise of the main highway. It has extensive beautifully manicured grounds containing a 9 hole golf course. Most rooms have a beautiful view of the mountains (Sleeping Giant). The rooms are very large and nicely furnished with a large king sized comfortable bed. The only fault with the rooms is that they have very poor lighting and you simply can't see to put makeup on! Our room rate was very reasonable and included a sumptuous breakfast fit for a king. However there was a poor selection for lunch and dinner and the prices were high. Overall, the Novatel is probably the next best to the very upmarket hotels on Denerau island, but at a much lower and very affordable price. The staff were friendly and very obliging. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

"Good budget accommodation"
We used this place as a base. We did not see many other guests so had the pool to ourselves a lot which was fantastic. The apartments themselves are very run down but the staff keep them as clean as they can. The down side of this apartment was the facilities, we had three people in our group but there was only one breakfast bowl to eat out of, they really need to supply more utensils ect. We ended up not preparing any meals due to this and the oven was so dirty and smelly that is was rendered unusable. This ruined the whole point of staying in an apartment where we could prepare meals, we had to dine out every night. The highlight of this place is the staff. Rachel, the other ladies and security guys are fantastic. They are wonderful people who are friendly and helpful. A big thanks for doing our washing when we were running short on clothes, it's little things like that that made our stay good.

    Nadi, Fiji Hotel Guide

For most visitors to Fiji, Nadi is the happy gateway into this veritable tropical paradise. Nadi is found on the west coast of Vitu Levi (the main island of Fiji) and is home to its main international airport. But with Fiji's resorts strung all along its lengthy coastline—or on one of its scattered, coral-bedecked islands—many new arrivals choose to spend at least one night at a hotel in this picturesque resort.

But Nadi has a lot more going for it than being merely a pretty transit point. There are some fabulously varied hotels and resorts scattered among its beaches, hills and mangrove forests. There's a lively nightlife scene in Nadi town, and from its port, you can launch yourself into all manner of water-based fun. This is all back-dropped by the lush, jungle-clad mountains of Sabeto, and the azure allure of the Pacific Ocean. Let's run through the top hotel options found in and around Nadi.

For those whose main mission here is to rest and recuperate after a long flight before heading off elsewhere in Fiji, the airport has a number of conveniently close hotels. Most are standard-class affairs, with excellent service and a welcoming berth—all for a reasonable price. Some have access to the beach at Nadi Bay, while others just lay on the refreshing pleasures of the hotel pool.

One or two provide a more deluxe service, however, which is great if you'd prefer to start your holiday in the sumptuous fashion you intend to keep to. But if you're looking for real luxury, and aren't planning on shooting off, Nadi has a few aces up its sleeve.

A short drive south of the airport is the exclusive resort of Denarau Island. Here, they know how to holiday with a touch of class. The island is reached over a causeway and consists of a handful of top-ranked hotels around an 18-hole championship golf course. As well having as some of the better beaches in Nadi, the hotels here really lay on the facilities. There are tennis courts, first-class restaurants and an exclusive night-club serving this gated community. And for a bit of local culture and color, you can head into Port Denarau, which is literally around the corner.

The Port also serves as the launching point for the wonderful resorts of the Mamanuca Islands, which stretch a few miles off the coast. Nadi, however, offers something almost as special, with a somewhat shorter trek. A ten-minute drive south of Nadi, and a short hop across a lagoon, brings you to Sonaisali Island. The resort here offers game fishing, snorkelling and scuba diving, all from an exclusive complex of apartments and bures (traditional thatched bungalows). Exclusive, but expensive.

If you're looking for something at the other end of the scale, Nadi again doesn't disappoint. Nearby Wailoaloa Beach has its fair share of simple lodgings and backpacker favorites, as does Nadi Town. With the treks and trails of Koroyanitu National Heritage Park (famed for its verdant jungles and waterfalls) close by, there's plenty of backpacking to be had too. That's the beauty of Nadi. Within a short time of arriving in paradise, you can be up and running, making the most of your Fiji holiday adventure, whatever it may be.
