Amazing staff and location

Pros: Staff, view and environment
Cons: Get a better chef and variety in food selection. Just a little attention to detail to cleaning.
Location: We did Levuka (Old capital of FIJI) tour, very interesting! The resort offers many activities, fishing, dolphin watching etc
Due to flight cancellation and lost baggage we had to move our reservation by a day, Naigani staff were most helpful with this. We also reached the jetty late but once again Naigani Staff were more than happy to send a jetty specially for us. From the moment we reached the resort the staff were absolutely amazing. Our kids were always made to feel like little princesses. The view, the water the environment was absolutely peaceful and beautiful. The villa we got was huge. With sitting area (bunker bed), two huge bedrooms and a porch with a beautiful garden. The rooms were clean but some extra attention to detail would make this the perfect resort. We had no hot water which was a major problem for us (Partly our fault for not asking), but apparently the switch was not turned on. Be warned that there is no electricity between 2pm - 5pm and then again 12am - 5am. The resort tries to save power when people are away enjoying the beach or sleeping. This is fine but only if you never wake up at night....its so pitch black that you cant see any thing at all and going to bathroom was a bit of a mission for our two (under 10) kids. The other point that puts Naigani down is the food. Dinner was not very good both nights.....which is a shame! A better chef would go a long way. BUT none of the above put us off Naigani, as we plan to return here on our next visit to Fiji.

Peaceful and serene

Pros: Very private and quiet.
Cons: No need to improve anything.
Location: It's an island. Scuba, snorkel, kayak, swim, day trips and fishing all available.
No words can explain this piece of heaven. Beautiful & quiet island resort. The new managers have already made a difference with small improvements to facilities. Very quiet time of the year to be here but also great time as the staff are so lovely to everyone. Dolphin, scuba and fishing trips all fantastic value for money. Highly recommend this resort.

Pros: Staff were amazing. They were friendly, relaxed, helpful. Nothing was too much bother
Cons: Can't think of anything. I had a great, relaxed time. I would have loved to stay longer.
Location: Swimming, diving, hiking.
I styaed eight days with my partner. We swam, went for a picnic, hiked, sunbathed, ate... It was a fabulous getaway.

Good and bad at Naingani

Pros: Staff were friendly and capable. They need to be trusted with more responsibilities.
Cons: Iron fisted micro-manager, made organising things difficult
Location: Picnic beach was fantastic. Grab a kayak, snorkel and plenty of sunscreen and water and spend your days there
Hotel was clean on arrival, but the room was not cleaned, nor fresh towels, fresh water etc replaced or offered throughout our 3 day stay. There was also a problem with maintenance of the bure as there were many birds nesting in the roof and wasps nest all over the exterior, which meant opening a door invited a horde of unwelcome wasps inside. The resort beaches were covered in litter. With the amount of staff available, and at times idle, it wouldn't have taken much to keep it maintained. After all, this was the first thing that guest saw upon arrival. In general the resort staff were extremely friendly and helpful, however under duress of some extreme micro-management they couldn't give definitely answers to basic questions without going through the rigmarole of consulting the resort manager. This made it difficult to arrange activities as the manager was either not on the island or difficult to locate. The breakfast buffet is a first in best dressed arrangement. If you aren't there first you get scraps. The 'continental' breakfast is very basic too. On our last morning we, and several other guests were milling around the kitchen for about 40 mins to try and get some food, then ended up abandoning the idea with empty stomachs as we had to check out. Disappointing. Also, 'Fiji time' is just an excuse for not being punctual. It's hard to give a light-hearted chuckle when you have to get to the mainland for a flight and no-one can tell you when the boat is leaving..

Great island getaway

Set up for divers, but great for anyone that likes being on an island. It is a great small resort that is comfortable without being fussy. The food was great and the local entertainment was the best we've seen in Fiji. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Their motto is "Welcome Home" and that is just how you feel after the first day. It's the real deal not a contrived atmosphere.

Location Great - Resort needs maintenance

The Resort is located right on the beach and is great for snorkelling, diving. I understand this was built in the 80's and the villas do need some maintenance but was comfortable and friendly. Not well patronised but we did not visit in peak season and the meals were good. My main disappointment was the the 2 bedroom villa did not have kitchen facilities apart from a tiny fridge and an electric jug - the resort needs to clearly describe room facilities on it's web site as a villa normally has a kitchen.
