“Friendly atmosphere”
The Garden Bar is a great place to relax with a few Tuskers. All staff are very helpful. If you don't like firm mattresses in may be best avoided - the one in our room was like trying to sleep on a paving slab! Overall a nice informal place, but over-priced for what it is.
“Nice hotel for a few nights.”
A nice hotel a few minutes’ walk from the city center. Clean, spotless rooms overlooking the garden and the museum hill. Surprisingly silent surroundings. Friendly, efficient staff and overall a pleasant hotel to stay at while in Nairobi for a few days. The only negative with the hotel is the food; tasteless, not a feeling of “home cooked” more like a fast food stand. We stayed for three nights and tried together six different dishes, all with the same poor standard. Everything else is of good quality except the food. Besides for that, we can recommend this hotel

“Basic, Clean, friendly and Safe!”
We expected a 2 star hotel so as long as you keep that in mind you'll be pleasantly impressed. For a 2 star hotel it is clean and tidy and comfortable. There is 24hr security gates with guards which I personally felt content with. Also had cable tv in rooms. The staff were friendly and pleasant, and the hotel was conveniently located less than 5mins drive to city centre restaurants and shops. We stayed at the Hilton our first night in Nairobi and Hotel Boulevard was not a huge disappointment as we half expected it to be. Pleasant and modest!
“Good for the money”
I stayed here before I left on a safari. It was really convenient as it was the leaving point. The included breakfast was better than most others I have had in Africa. The staff were friendly. You can arrange tours directly at the hotel but don't be afraid to haggle over the price. Otherwise take a cab from the hotel, the staff can arrange it, and pay entrance fees yourself, it's much cheaper. For the price you pay and for what else is out there, this is a good hotel. I would recommended it. Also it is gated and has an in-room safe, if that gives anyone piece of mind.
“Clean Hotel, Great Service and Security”
We stayed here for two nights and found the hotel to be clean with respectful staff and good security including guards and a locked gate at night. Mosquito/insect nets in each room. The breakfast buffet that was included was great for the Western traveller. Great location, close to the airport and downtown Nairobi, and in a safe part of Nairobi. I would recommend this to someone who has not travelled to Kenya and would like to feel comfortable without the need for luxury and the prices that go with it.
